A Day Without Rain

Here it goes the update! I just finished writing the next one, so give me feedback and I'll post it! 💕

Derek went back to the 2nd floor. Mark saw the look on his face; he seemed lost, with a weird feeling.

"Man, are you okay? I mean, what's going on?"

"We should go to Asia's, then I'll tell you everything."

It was already 6 so they got their stuff and went straight to the bar. They sat in the usual couch in the corner, Derek ordered a single malt scotch and Mark got a beet.

"I'm gonna tell you everything because it's time for you to know it, even though I think you already do."

"You and Meredith?! Yeah, I do." He laughed.

It was quite obvious and as a best friend Mark wasn't a problem, in reality, it was a relief.

"I told her I'm in love with her and she told me she feels the same, so I thought we were okay."

"Stop. Isn't she married? I mean, a fling was acceptable, but she being in love with you takes is to another level."
He sipped the beer and continued.
"I heard her husband went to the school today and made a scene."

"She is married but she's not in love with him anymore. She told me that they didn't have chemistry anymore and she was the one who started all this.
I knew she was married, but when she made a move and then showed up in my house in the middle of the night I thought she knew what she was going into."

"That's big. I could feel that there were something between you two but I'd never imagine something like that."

"I never thought I would feel like that. She told me she needed to face it alone. I heard that Philip, her husband, left something for her at Richard's, because she had a flower bouquet and a big book in her hands when I last saw her."

"Derek, that's more than complicated. He is her husband. They have built a life together. You gotta show her that you really care about her and that it's not about the chase."

They kept talking and trying to figure out something that Derek to do.

"it's getting late and I have a meeting at 8 AM tomorrow." Derek said putting some money on the table and grabbing his coat.

"I got to go to. Addison asked me to stop by to take a look in the presentation that she made."

"Send her a kiss. I'm going to take a cab and go straight home. Thanks, Mark."

"You are always welcome. Call me if you need anything. See you tomorrow."

It was a long wait for a cab. The rain was pouring as usual in Seattle. When he finally got a cab, the traffic was the new problem. Looking at the window and watching the rain fall he started to think about what Mark had said about his relationship with Meredith. But he could not understand why she would go back to him if all the problems she had told him about were true.
"30 dollars." The driver said stop in his imagination.
He got his wallet and keys, they played the ride and turned on the flashlight to open the door.
He took off his jacket and shoes, put the keys in the little table next to the door and turn on the lights when he saw someone sat on the couch.

"Meredith?! What are you doing here?!"
