I can't believe so much time has passed! It's finally updated! I just finished writing the next one, so give me feedback and I'll post it! 💕I promise it won't take so long this time!

Meredith froze. It was Phillip and she wasn't expecting to see him there at all. He was talking to Richard at his office about God knows what because she couldn't think about anything they had in common and they were not friends.

At that same moment, she heard Derek's voice.

Karma was a bitch.

He looked at her and suddenly Richard's office door opened, and Phillip got out.

"Meredith talk to me. You can't do this anymore. I'm trying here. I'm your husband for god's sake!"

"Shit. Go, Cristina, I'll try to meet you at the bar. Send Owen a kiss for me."

She'd seen Derek walking away to avoid a very uncomfortable situation, so she walked toward Phillip wishing she could roll her eyes at him. He was trying too hard and she couldn't take that much drama anymore.

"First the flowers in the middle of a workday for everyone to see and now this little performance over here? Seriously, Phillip?"

"I needed to see that you've got them."

"Seriously? You needed it? Or you just need attention all the time?" She sighed
"I told you we were going to talk at home but you're making things much harder than they were supposed to be right now."

"Okay. So, let's go home and do it. You're free, I'm free."

She didn't have a choice so she texted Cristina to let her know she would be very late or might not be going at all.

He parked the car after a long silent ride. They got in the elevator and still no words were spoken.

"We're here. What do you want to do?"

"First, I'll grab a bottle of wine. Or maybe tequila for you?"

"Wine is fine."

When they first started dating, they used to have this habit of drinking a glass of wine every day at dinner while talking about their day and laughing.

Happy memories - she thought

"Mer, I don't want to fight anymore. I'm tired. I love you so much."

"Phillip, I -"

"Wait, I know I screwed things up. I should have never done it, never, and I'm truly sorry. I don't love her, I love you. I was so afraid I could lose you that I realized I want to spend the rest of my life with you, have your babies and grow old together. So, please, Meredith. Forgive me."

She needed more wine after that. She loved him too, but she also loved Derek. Three bottles were down already.

"Phill, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry but I don't feel the same way. I still love you but like you, I realized things. We talked about this before and I haven't changed my mind. I still think this marriage is not working for a long time now and there's no reason for us to keep living like this. I'm not happy. And I don't want to have kids."

"Meredith, please, give me a chance. We can make this work as it used to in the beginning. We used to be so happy. Laughing every day, drinking wine at dinner bitching about the days and about people. Making love like no one else. Passionate, like there was a fire between us."

He got closer to her continuing to reminisce about the past and started kissing her shoulders, then her neck, and finally planted a kiss on her lips.

She couldn't deny she was still attracted to him. The love was far gone, but Phillip was extremely tall, handsome and knew her body better than anyone had ever known. So, she let her guard down and moved him to the couch to continue what he had started.

2 hours later

It was still early, and Phillip was sleeping like a baby after the sex. Meredith got a blanket for him and put on her clothes. The whole time she was with Phillip she couldn't stop picturing Derek. He was the one she wanted to be spending the night with and doing all sorts of things, so she decided to head up to Asia's and catch him there.

That was it. She had her time and was ready to let him know. She would talk to him and talk to Phillip the next day.

She called a cab because she could drive after all that wine and also texted Cristina.

- I'm coming rn. Don't leave. BTW is Derek still around? -

Her phone rang right away

- I'm not moving. And yes, McDreamy is here (and so is Owen ;) ) -

That 20 minutes ride seemed to be much longer. She had butterflies in her stomach and couldn't wait to talk to Derek.

She got of the cab looking for her phone to call Cristina when something else got her attention.

It was Derek. But he was leaving the bar with Addison.
