"Aye man you know that one broad you use to kick it with? What's her name India or some shit?"

"Indigo yeah."
RJ gave Tommy his phone.
"look--"
It was a video and Tommy pressed play watching his first love and long lost friend Indigo Riley at a hotel room twerking and slurping up different guys left and right with only pants and a bra on. Tommy just gave it to RJ.

"Girl a loose daisy now."

"Chill."

"I'm just saying man that's wild. She ain't use to do shit like that I guess them flint niggas turned her out."
"How did you even get this?"
"One of them niggas in the room was Dell."
"Dell from flint?"
"No. This was a couple days ago at the courtyard off the ave."
"So that means Indigo is back."

Tommy turned his truck around.
"Aye nigga what you doin?"
"I wanna go see her."

From seventh grade to sophomore year in high school Tommy was with the beautiful Indigo Riley. They were close and they were each other's first everything. It was so hard to get Tommy's attention or for him to talk but for Indigo he was all in. However, the year before junior year Indigo's mother and father relocated to Flint because her father got a better job in the area and was originally from Flint.

Tommy didn't care he wanted Indigo in anyway. However, Indigo's strict dad wasn't having that and once he found out Indigo and Tommy had sex he forced her to cut Tommy off with no explanation completely. She had tried numerous times to reach him on social media but Tommy didn't have any social media.

"How you know she's here? You can't just be Rollin up on people yard her daddy already wanted to kill you."

"I don't know man but I'm willing to take the chance."

Tommy walked to Indigo's grandmother's house door. He knew this was her favorite place and that her grandma gave her whatever she wanted.

The door opened and it was an older man Tommy analyzed him and remembered it being Indigo's cool ass uncle Lavelle

"Tommy?"
"What's up Velle?"
"Nothing lil man ain't seen you round here in a minute."
"Yeah vice versa. Is Indigo here?"
LaVelle chuckled.
"Hell no."
"Where is she?"
"Her disrespectful ass is with one of her friends on the east side."
Tommy was taken aback.
"Do you have her number?"
"yeah hol' up let me get my phone."
LaVelle gave Tommy her number and told her good luck. Tommy was confused. LaVelle idolized his niece and use to interrogate Tommy down to the core over her now just hearing her name, Tommy noticed LaVelle's face looked disgusted.

Tommy had went through a lot during his teen years. He missed his mother tremendously everyday, he was cool on the outside but on the inside it burned him up. He missed her laugh, her spirit, her positive energy, her whole aura. She left him way too soon and he felt like their time together wasn't enough.

He kissed the picture of them on his nightstand. When he graduated High school and got accepted into Wayne State it was bittersweet. He was happy he made it but he was sad he couldn't share it with Indigo and his mother, more importantly his mother.

It also pained him about the uncertainty of his father. He wanted answers on who he was but he knew his dad was something sinister so he avoided it. All he knew was that his father killed his mother and he never wanted to know anything further.

"I miss you mama I'm constantly wishing after all these years that this is just A bad dream." He said looking at the picture then setting it back on his nightstand.

He gathered his homework and put it in his bag. He went to Wayne State still and had a dorm he just was home more often and couldn't figure out why.
He grabbed his phone and dialed the number LaVelle gave to him. Tommy wasn't sure if had love feelings for Indigo still but he definitely cared for her and he was hurt once her daddy made her cut him off.
