RJ sped through the streets up until 5am until he knocked on his aunties' Kailyn and Kelani's door. Kelani answered half awake. She was preparing to cuss him out until she saw the blood on his shirt and the pain in his eyes.

"What's going on neph?" Kelani asked. Kailyn emerged from the back, "everything ok?" Kailyn asked.

"Yeah I just need a spare shirt." RJ said as his green eyes were flushed and red. "Why is it blood on your shirt neph?" Kelani asked. "Rio bled on me." "Explain." Kailyn said tying her robe tighter. "Rio got shot at this party." "Is he ok?" Kelani asked with her eyes widening remembering the chocolate handsome guy RJ always hung out with. "No, he passed."

Kelani and Kailyn both hugged RJ tight and begged him to come in and talk and relax. "With all due respect I just want another shirt and Imma dip back home."

RJ was in the direction of going home then he stopped at Rio's mothers house. As soon as he knocked on the door he got weak. He was at his townhouse and realized for the first time he wasn't picking up Rio for a play now or ever.

Standing on these steps, he was grieving. His best friend wasn't going to answer on the other side of the door ready to Mack on some girls. RJ held his head down trying his best to breathe but he couldn't. When the door opened the smell was overwhelming with grief. His older sister Tanya answered and hugged RJ immediately.

"It's really tough time to come right now, thank you though RJ."

He nodded and walked off feeling so pained inside. Getting in his truck didn't even feel the same. He looked over and Rio wasn't there or was ever going to be there. RJ got it out of the way to go to the police station and tell them all he knew. He saw Indigo point their way and RJ couldn't figure out what for. Next thing you know shots rang out their way and Rio dropped to the ground.

Tears slid from RJ's eyes as he looked at his passenger seat that Rio was suppose to be in. They were suppose to leave that party together like they did with every party. His heart was completely crushed and his mind was fucked up he felt sick. He could not believe it. Rio was the smoothest most laid back guy in his crew. RJ would've rather it be him then Rio.

RJ pulled over and punched his steering wheel and cried. "My dawg Rio man....why!?" He cried silently not caring about anything else. He just wanted his best friend back. No one could fill the hole in his heart and pain within him.

RJ attempted to gather himself and drove back home with blurry eyes. He walked through the door and there was everyone in the living room including Tommy waiting on him.

"Son...you ok? We were calling and calling." Rome said. "Yeah..."
Melrose approached him and hugged him and he patted her on the back. Her and Rome were so sad over losing something like a son.

"I can't believe it ." Melrose said crying remembering the sweet kid who always offered to help and even got her a card for Mother's Day and her birthday.

Everyone approached him and he broke away. "I'm smooth I just wanna go to sleep." He spent hours in his room staring at the wall. As the room spinned and as his body was in so much pain. He looked at a picture of his mother and realized he lost two very important people.

He heard a slight knock on his door

"bro can we talk?" Tommy asked. "I'm not in the mood for all this." "I know it's a lot but...I just want you to know Just because I associate with Indigo don't meant I'm against you bro--" "you fuck with a bitch who got my best friend killed." "What's yo deal with her bro?"

RJ had a deranged look for the first time ever at his brother and got up and in his face. "Get the fuck outta here Tommy you lost yo damn mind defending that slut bucket to me. You wanna know something? I fucked her at the first masquerade party a couple weeks ago she had on a mask I ain't know it was her but the bitch knew it was me." RJ said, "didn't even have to spit game! You a fucking sucker!"

RJ saw nothing but red and the insults and truth just spilled out of his mouth even though he just discovered Indigo was the one he had sex with since she wore the same mask yesterday as before.

Tommy saw red too looking at RJ as if he had betrayed him. Tommy pushed his brother and then they fought around his room.

"You a fucking snake!" "You fighting me over a bitch!?" They said as they tussled and rumbled around the room neither of them allowing the other to win.

Soon Rome and Melrose came and attempted to break it up though the both of them were still trying to get to the other.

"Y'all lost y'all damn minds!" Rome yelled losing his cool. "Stop this shit now!" Melrose yelled.

They were still both red as tomatoes and hot like fire but the sound of July crying at the madness stopped them both.
"Fuck y'all doing! Y'all brothers man!" Rome yelled as he kept a taller RJ away.

"What the hell Is going on?" Melrose asked.

Tommy walked away calmly.
"We talking to you boy what's going on!?" Rome asked.

"None of y'all my family. I don't gotta explain nothing to you yo wife or yo son!"

"What boy!?" Rome said standing toe to toe with his oldest son Tommy. They stood eye to eye neither of them backing down. "How dare you even say that son?" "I'm not your son, we both know that. I'm done with all this, I'm out." Tommy said calmly walking away, hugging July, then walking out of the house.

Rome stood there hurt and confused and it felt like a kick to his heart.
"RJ start talking." Melrose said also hurt that Tommy viewed her that way. Out of all Romes children he was the one to accept her the quickest.

"Nothin to talk about."

"I know you're going through a tough time son but you need to speak the hell up right now!" Rome yelled.

Melrose grabbed crying July and walked out of the room assuring him that everything was fine though he knew better.

RJ explained the situation to his dad and Rome was lost for words.
"You slept with Indigo RJ that's some snake shit I raised you better than that."
"On bible I didn't know it was her but she knew it was me. Last night she pointed our way and after that bitch did that Rio dropped to the floor bleeding everywhere I got some of his blood still on me!" RJ started as he cried, "my best friend is dead! I can't believe this bullshit why Rio!? Fucking why!?"

Rome held his heartbroken son as he collapsed on the ground and cried.
"Tommy defending her if she wasn't around my brother would still be alive!" He cried as tears washed down his cheeks like twin rivers and as his heart broke more and more to know his best friend was now cold and that Tommy fought him and was defending the girl who supposedly caused it.

Rome held on to his son. "You gotta live on son....like you did with your mama you gotta live son. Rio would want you to keep going." Rome said so shook up that his son was experiencing the death of a close friend. He was sad himself that little Rio would never be around anymore. He saw Rio as a son and liked that RJ hung out with someone who was chill, ambitious, and smart like Rio. Romes chest hurt as he never wanted his children to experience death back to back like this like how him and Blaze did.

"I don't wanna hear that right now dad I'm hurt ain't nothing to be positive about right now!" RJ yelled as his tears fell

Rome agreed and just consoled his son and dropped tears too.
