Tommy dropped red roses at Indigo's tombstone. He stood there smiling since they had caught her murderer. Indigo's world was a world he had never imagined. Drugs, abuse, sex, robbery, and murder. Some she was forced into and her life sprung out of control. Without Indigo he would've never had friends in high school, she gave him the courage to open up and at least talk. He dropped more white roses for the unborn child she was carrying. He broke down and sat by her tombstone and one tear rolled out of his eye.
"You're at peace now but damn....I wasn't prepared to not have you here living and breathing." The sky was thick with gray clouds and suddenly the sunshine moved in and touched Tommy's body as tears ran out of his eyes. He didnt understand why he went to more funerals in his life than graduations and weddings. It broke his soul to see so many young people in Detroit to go out like how they did.

He got up and rubbed her tombstone and returned to his car with the balloons just waiting to burst out of the car.

RJ did the dab across the graduation state as he grabbed his diploma and as all the girls admired the educated tall fine player. He did it. He was over with high school. His family screamed his name and the auditorium got wild. As soon as his diploma touched his hand he pointed up at the ceiling to commemorate Rio and his mother. Next up was Ryann with her luscious bundles curled by Lauryn and her makeup fleeked out. She flipped her tassel out of the way and felt like her cap and gown were dipped in gold. Again her family screamed and jumped and clapped. She was so happy she did it and that her brother had did it with her.

As her and RJ sat down as the other names were called Ryann laid on his shoulder as she gripped her diploma tight. She put her hand on her mouth.
"I know Ry...it's gone be okay."
"I wish momma was here to see this....I wish Rio could've gotten his diploma with us."
"I know I know but if we win then they winning too."

Ryann nodded but still couldn't help her river of tears. RJ put his arm around his sister and tried holding his own composure.

"This next diploma goes to a young man who...." The teacher began to cry and break down but she got herself together, "a young man who touched all of us and who is so deeply missed...." She cried again, "this was a tough loss for not only our seniors but our entire school staff and all. This young man was so kind and full of life and left way too soon. I want to have a moment of silence for Dario Thompson."

Ryann and RJ gripped each other's hands tight as tears slid out of their eyes and in both of their minds, They pictured Rio in his black cap and gown smiling with his earrings dancing. To add to their vision, they saw angel wings on him.

'I love you my dawg. Thank you for giving me some fun years.' RJ thought as more tears fell. When the silence was over everyone clapped as Ryann wiped her tears and RJ's.

"We did it Rio! We out!" RJ yelled looking at the sky.

"Smile mama smile!" RJ added on yelling looking up with tears flowing but a big kool-aid smile on his face as him and his sister hugged.

They gathered all of the balloons and teddy bears and carried them to their mothers tombstone. They set them all by her grave along with teddy bears and cards. Big Rome took off his hat as he looked at his fallen first wife's grave site.
"thank you for being my best friend, teaching me how to be a better man and love, and making these beautiful kids with me. I love you always B."
Rome watched his children as they all looked at their mothers grave and though it's been eleven years, it still broke his heart he stepped back and held his tears as the sun shined.

Tommy put his arm around July as RJ and Ryann put their arms around Tommy.

"Mama we stand before you to let you know that....you not here physically but you're one of the reasons for everything good." Ryann said.

"Your three oldest kids did it mama and we gone make sure Ju next." RJ said referring to July..

Rome was so happy that his children didn't become products of the environment or of him and Blaze' lifestyle. The wrong they did, the wrongdoings that happened to them, it all resulted in something beautiful and positive: their children. They weren't perfect but they just wanted to be decent human beings. They lost their mother and fought all the challenges set up against them.

They all took a picture by her tombstone and smiled as if she was physically there. But in their hearts, she lived there forever.
