Chapter 27: Sean.

I  had been here 2 weeks and was already ready to leave.

My room had been comforting yet I missed my hometown.

I walked around my room and turned on my Ipod.

Then I slowly walked to the community girls’ bathroom in the East side dorms. (The girls dorms)

Nobody was in there so I took over one of the sinks and started to brush my teeth. This was killing me. I was beyond bored in this stupid dorm room.

“Hey.” I heard a voice call out.

I turned around and looked at who walked in.

“Uh, hi.” I said with my toothpaste stained mouth

I tried to attempt to wipe my mouth. Seeing that is didn’t help, I grabbed a towel and wiped my mouth.

“I’m Avera. You can call me Ave, though.” Avera said.

She was absolutely gorgeous.

Ave was a bit taller than me, probably standing at five foot eight. She was dressed in a hot pink track suit that said ‘All-Star’ written across the chest.

She had beach blonde hair and I already knew she had to be in the best shape of her life. She was a human Barbie doll.

“I’m Sean, you can me Sean, though.” I said trying to make a joke.

Ave laughed it off and went to the sink beside me to brush her teeth, also.

“I run track. That’s where I just came from if you’re wondering.” Ave volunteered the information.

She must have saw me totally adoring her track suit.

“Yeah? Well I don’t play sports. I attempted basketball when I was like in Junior High and was good enough to get starting five. But in high school, I was using all my attention to think about a boy.” I replied.

“Woo Hoo! Boys! My faaavvvvorite topic!” She declared winking at me in the mirror.

I chuckled before pulling my hair up.

“So where are you staying at?” She asked as she reapplied her smeared, and smudged makeup.

“Oh, I am here on early admission. I have my own dorm room.” I explained.

A few minutes went by when I decided that the conversation was over. I started to leave when Ave stopped me.

“Hey you mind if I tag along with you for the day?” She asked politely.

“Oh yeah sure you can.” I answered and started down the hall towards my dorm room.

I opened the door with my key and walked in, Ave following after me.

“Wow you lucky dog!” She exclaimed walking in my room and throwing her body on my bed.

I laughed.

“Yeah I am still technically a high school student. I graduate in 2 weeks.” I said grabbing some clothes and putting them in a bag.

“Woah what are you packing for?” She asked.

I laughed, “I’m packing for graduation. I am going back down in one week. Mom wants me there early so I can get back in to my schedule. Although it’s not like I will be going to school.” I answered as I piled a dress into my suit case.

“OOOHHH who’s he!?” Ave asked looking at a picture of Junior with his arms around my hips and us both smiling. She picked it up and started running around with it.

“Put it down!” I giggled.

“Why hello mister handsome my name is Sean!” Ave exclaimed standing on top of my bed.

I climbed up and tried tackling her before I lost my balance and fell. She quickly jumped over me towards the floor.

Ave started making kissing sounds.

“AVE!” I screamed tackling her and grabbing the picture.

I grabbed it and collapsed on my bed.

As I held the picture close to my heart.

“Sean. Explain!” Ave called and laid on the bed next to me.

“There’s nothing to explain?” I said turning over and putting the picture back in place.

“Liar!” Ave giggled.

“Fine. That’s Junior.” I revealed.

“A boyfriend?” Ave asked.

“Ex, now.” I confirmed.

“Oh, tell me about it, girl.” She pleaded.

“I love him. I know I do. I know he loves me too. Yet, we finally started dating, and it went to pieces.” I said.

“That isn’t very much explaining!” She exclaimed leaning up and grabbing my photo album.

She started flipping through the pictures.

Many were Junior and me. Some consisted of Kay and Will, too.

“He’s hot!” She exclaimed

“I have loved Junior ever since I could remember. He has always been here for me. So this year, Senior Year, I decided I was done cowering! I was done giving up on my hopes and dreams. I decided to make a move and eventually we started dating and it was amazing. He was so sweet but then we had a stupid fight.” I answered

“Oh wow.” She replied.

I shook my head and helped point out picture to her.

“That’s me and my best friend Kay.” I said pointing at a picture of Kay and I backstage at a Nevershoutnever! Concert.

Ave turned the page.

“who’s this?” she asked politely.

“Carter.” I answered before walking off to my closet to pack my graduation dress.

“Oh, well nevermind. Seems like a tough subject.”  She said thumbing another page.

“Yeah I guess so.”

“Well I better get back to working out. I will text you and maybe we can hang out again!” Ave squealed and handed me a paper where she had scrawled out her number.

I waved bye and she walked out of my room.

Wow this is going to be one long boring week for me.

No Junior.

No Kay.

No Will.

No Mom.

No Dad.

No friends, except Ave.
