Chapter 29: Sean
I had had a nightmare the last couple of nights.
Unfortunately, tonight was no different. Tossing and turning, I finally fell asleep around 5:30.
“WAKEEEEE UPPPPP!” I heard screaming in my room.
What the heck? I thought and jolted up right. Silently, I opened my eyes and peered out.
Mom!
“Mommy!” I screamed like a little kid and ran towards her opened arms.
“Sean!” She hugged me.
Jeez, I never thought she would let go.
I smiled and remembered today is the day I go home.
“Pack up.” Mom declared already heading towards my closet.
She quickly grabbed some clothes and piled them in there.
About an hour later I was packed.
“Are you ready to go darling?” Mom said.
“As ready as I will ever be. So when I get home there will be 2 weeks of school left right?” I said toting my luggage towards my mom’s car.
“Yes. I guess I should tell you now. Junior is destroyed on the fact you didn’t tell him.” Mom said thinking she broke the news too me.
“I know. Kay told me. Junior has texted me. But mom I am done with high school………Junior broke up with me. He gave up on me.” I exclaimed as we started to drive home.
Perfect Two by Auburn came on and I couldn’t help but think of Junior and me.
Silent tears fell. Mom wouldn’t understand how destroyed I was! Not Junior!
He took a part of me and butchered it. I can’t forgive him because he thought he was strong when it turns out I was the strong one in the relationship.
Soon after I was listening to the radio I fell asleep.
About 3 hours later I felt my body being lifted. I woke up to see Dad carrying me into the house.
I smiled and hung my head into his chest.
I felt like a little girl again.
Once we got in the house, it was about 7 p.m.
Kay was there. I smiled and hopped out of Dad’s arms and clung to her.
“We have somewhere to be.” Kay said dragging me to her car.
She drove me to her house.
“What are we doing here?” I asked.
“Getting ready.” She answered dragging me towards her room.
“For what?” I asked.
Apparently Kay didn’t hear me…..or ignored me.
Next thing I know she is throwing a hot pink tutu at me. And then a black vest that came up and exposed my stomach.
“Let’s go.” Kay squealed and yanked my arm.
“Where are we going!?!?” I yelled demanding an answer.
“To the school talent show.” She replied ecstatically.
“No way. No!” I yelled already shaking my head in disappointment.
“Yes!!!!” She laughed.
She coaxed me into it.
“Fine.” I said. I walked into the theatre where we were holding it at.
