Chapter 12: Sean
I wanted to talk to him. I needed to. I needed to know if it was really him last night. My head swirled. When Carter kissed me I felt like I betrayed him.
"He apologized and it sounded real" I said trying to make Carter believe it like I did.
"It's fake just lay off we have to make him jealous." Carter replied back a little bit forcefully.
"Hey Ashton!" I heard Junior's voice call. I had pushed him over the edge. I had made him lose interest in me and gain it in Ashton, the school slut. What have I done?
A tear dropped from my face slamming into the floor and breaking into a million crystals.
Carter looked at me. Hugged me and then walked away leaving me alone watching the man I love fall with someone else.
"Sean!" Will said running around the corner laughing. Kay was behind him chasing him and smiling.
I wiped my tears hurriedly. Then turned, plastered on a fake smile, and looked at them.
"Hey Guys." I said smiling and embracing a hug with both of them. This is what I loved most but I loved it better when it was Junior instead of Will.
"Wanna come eat some ice cream with us?" They both said at the same time laughing as Kay turned to Carter and smiled.
"No thank you." I mumbled
I walked out of the lunch room only to bump in to Michael, one of the football players.
"Hey Sean." He said grabbing my shoulders. I swear if another guy grabs my shoulders I will punch them. It's starting to hurt. Geez.
"Hey Michael!" I said hugging him. We didn't really talk but we were both Seniors except he was more of a jock than anyone else at this school.
"Sean you are looking good. Junior was right." He started and then looked away. I guess he made a split decision because the next thing I know Michael is leaving.
"Michael!" I yelled chasing him down the hallways.
"Stop!!!!" I screamed and grabbed his arm.
Michael turned around. He looked at me. I don't think I've ever noticed how hot Michael was. He was tan and very buff. Veins popping out in his arm. He has green eyes that were piercing through his black shaggy hair.
"Sean???" He asked smiling.
"Oh. Uh what?" I mumbled. Had he caught me staring at him? What did he think? Oh Gosh, what if he told Junior. My mind starting racing among the thoughts of Junior and last night.
"Stop checking me out." He laughed and hugged me. His scent whirled around me causing me to think hard about what I wanted, who I wanted, Junior or Michael?
No, no I wanted Junior with his blonde shaggish hair, his gorgeous blue eyes, his naturally tanned skin, his way he made me laugh.
"Um hello Earth to Sean. Are you going on the retreat?" Michael asked me as if it was no big deal.
The Annual Retreat was held at a camp site close to the mountains. It'd be cold but fierce skiing weather. It was only the most exciting school trip ever! Mainly jocks went but it was open to everyone. It was a full weekend where they shut it down from the public just for the students. I ,of course, never had a reason to go... until now.
"I forgot all about it, but yes I am very much looking forward to going. I'll see you there?" I smirked and then waved making my way back to my locker.
