Chapter 26: Sean

I should have pulled over. Thoughts of me regretting not talking to Junior were scattered throughout my brain.

Pacing, I couldn’t decide if my choice was right.

Yet, I doubt he regretted dumping me.

*BUZZ*

I froze, then realized my phone was going off.

“Hello?” I answered

“Hey, you haven’t left yet. Junior, uh, Junior isn’t here…. He left early. He was practically begging me to tell him what was wrong with you.”

I heard Will in the background

“Uh, oh, Kay I kinda…told him.” Will said in the background.

“What the hell?!?! Why?” Kay yelled.

I instantly giggled. I loved my best friend.

“Kay it isn’t a problem. So he left  early? He was kinda chasing my car down the road. I wanted to stop so bad.” I admitted.

“I honestly think you guys need to talk.” Kay said.

“Kay if I talk to him. I won’t want to leave. Plus, we have only been broken up for a day.” I said. Trying to claify my point.

“You shouldn’t even be broken up for a day, Sean. A love like yours should get threw all this!” Kay yelled.

“Okay. I will try to talk to him.” I said.

As we spoke I was still pacing. Scared of confronting Junior.

I slowly walked downstairs.

“Mom I will be back soon.” I called as I grabbed my jacket to brave the rain.

“Okay just be ready to pack when you get back. We will have to pack in a hurry so we can get up there. And anything you miss Dad and I will ship.” She called back already dragging out the boxes.

“Um okay. Thanks.” I replied before walking out the door.

It was raining hard. Our neighbors were standing by their windows admiring the rain.

I slowly brought my hand up and waved at them. Then made a mad dash towards my car. It was insane how long of a distance it seemed to be.

There was no way I was going to Juniors. How could I?

Sitting in my car I pondered where to go.

I decided my room would have to do.

I got back out and ran to my house.

“That was fast.” Mom called out.

“I didn’t leave. Just uh, grabbed something from my car.” I replied making my slow descent towards the staircase.

I walked up and then towards my room.

Mom came up slowly after.

“It’s Junior isn’t it?” Mom called out.

“Yes.” I sighed grabbing my favorite books and shoving them into a backpack.

“Can we just pack?” I pleaded.

Mom headed downstairs and returned with boxes and suitcases.

“You know I will miss you right?” Mom said grabbing my DVD’s and putting them in a box.

“Yes mom, I will miss you too though.” I answered piling my clothes into a suitcase.

I was tired of the awkward silence so I turned on the radio.
