A few months ago, my family and I rented this house for a family vacation. We decided to stay here for a month as our semester break was was 5 weeks. The person who rented this house to us told us to never go into the woods behind the house. He never told us the reason though.
Days passed and my siblings and I got bored. I had an elder brother, Jonathan and a younger sister, Rosy. We decided to investigate the woods and see what was so special about it. Mon and dad weren't home so we left a note on the kitchen table and started our little adventure into the woods.
We walked in the woods for about 10 minutes yet there was nothing interesting. We turned around to go back and that's when we realised Rosy was missing.
"Jonathan, where's Rosy?" I asked. "Why are you asking me? She was walking with you wasn't she?" That's when we got scared. Jonathan and I split up to look for Rosy.
As I was looking through the woods, I noticed a small bracelet that looked like Rosy's hanging on a tree branch. I reached out my hands to retrieve that bracelet. Just when I was about to take it, a bird pecked me on my hand a few times and it started to bleed. I felt like passing up as the bird's peck felt stingy. Just then, I heard Jonathan shout
"Nicolet get out of there!" I wanted to know where he was but just as I took a step forward, I passed out.
When I woke up, I was tied to a pole of an abondaned house. I saw Merida there. She was tying Jonathan to a pole as well. I cried out for help but it was useless and that's when I saw Rosy tied to a big tree. On the tree was a mark of a lightning bolt.
"NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! LET HER GO" I shouted at Merida. She looked at me, gave me a small grin and burnt the tree together with Rosy.
I tried to escape so that I can get my revenge but I couldn't. Merida then untied Jonathan and me, dragged us to the where the burnt tree was and poured petroleum on us. "Why are you doing this? What have we done to you?" I asked Merida.
"I want to make sacrifices to the Satan to become the most powerful person on Earth. In order to do that, I needed 13 lives and you three were the last ones I needed. HAHAHAHAHA!!!" As soon as she said that, she burnt us all.
We are all now souls living in purgatory and in order to get our revenge on Merida, we have to have a connection with a human. That's when I saw Merida moving into the neighbourhood.
