After the Lava Wall Contest between Percy and Tobias (both ending in a tie) I had decided to have a little free time. Tobias was hanging with Percy and Annabeth, Asha was with Will learning medicines, and I was in a tree reading. It was my favorite tree, really. Just a regular pine that I hid in when I needed to think. Well, besides playing on my cello. Finishing a chapter of The Oddesey, I dangled upside down from the tree branch and closed my eyes. Listening to the sounds of nature. The sound of the clearing of a throat caught my attention, so I opened my eyes. I was greeted by a certain Latino boy..
"Hello, Leo." I said looking at him. "Hey, Astrid. What the Hades are you doing...?" He asked raising an eyebrow. I looked at my dangling form and shrugged, "Just hanging..." He nodded laughing, "I wanted to ask you a question.... Do you know Asha's favorite flower?" I smiled, "I think Sunflowers... Considering us being the daughters of Apollo..." (Asha I'm so sorry if it's not yo fave flower...) He nodded thanks. "Um... Know where I can find some...?" I laughed, "Yeah, hang on..." I begun to untangle my legs from the branch and meant to land on my feet, but I instead landed in the arms of Leo, bridal-style. I yelped too startled to do anything... I think he was too. "Leo....?" A familiar voice cracked. We both looked over and saw a hurt Asha. I gasped and jumped out of his arms and tried to grab Asha's hand but she pulled away. "It's not what it looks like, Asha... It was an Accident! I fell from the tree!" I tried to explain but she wouldn't listen. Tears formed in her eyes and she ran off, not listening to either mine nor Leo's calls. Leo groaned sadly and leaned against the tree.
I watched her leave painfully and turned to Leo, "We are finding those flowers, and making it up to her. Now." I said sternly. He looked at me almost hopelessly and then nodded. I lead the way to find some sunflowers, wanting to make it up so badly to her.
I had soon found three sunflowers for Leo. He and I were hiding in a bush a distance from where Asha was, sitting by the lake. From the looks of it, she had been crying. Hard. "What if she doesn't listen?" Leo asked. He sounded as if he had been crying himself. I sighed, "Just go and apologize, explain everything..." I said turning him towards my half sister. He took a deep breath and went over while I stayed hidden. Asha looked like she didn't want to even look at him, but she eventually did. He explained everything by the looks of it from the way he was gesturing his hands. Soon, they hugged. I smiled and thanked Aphrodite as Leo gave me a thumbs up and mouthed Thankyou. Asha's back was to me, so it gave him that advantage. I nodded in response. Mission Accomplished.
