Chapter Two

GENERAL POV
It almost 3 in the afternoon when Vice decided to go. Medyo uncomfortable kasi sya sa hosts lounge bc there's a lot of memories that he and Karylle both shared. In short: Napapabalik-tanaw sya nang wala sa oras.
While his daughter, Ana Kathryn is like on the cloud nine feels bc of the moment she spent with her idol. Her camera roll almost filled with Sarah G stolen shots and mostly their 'two-elfies'.
Habang busy ito sa karerecap ng mga pictures sa cellphone ay natigilan sya when her Dad nudged her arm, dahilan na mapalingon sya kay Vice.
"What?" Iritadong tugon ni Kath
"Ang saya-saya nya oh!" He teased with a grin plastered on his lips
"Super happy! Kahit nakikita ko sya every year of my life but iba parin talaga if nakakausap at nakakabond ko sya." She shared, fantasizing "It always feels like the first time kumbaga." Kath showed a wide smile na ikinatuwa naman ni Vice dahil minsan nya lang 'to masilayan sa labi ng anak
"Kung sino dapat maging masaya sa'tin ngayon, It must be me. I'm so glad to see you smiling like that, Ana Kathryn." Malambing na bitaw ng ama. Napakagat naman ng labi ang anak nang marealize nitong ngumingiti nga pala sya. On the cue, her face automatically switch in a blank expression. Back to her old self again. Napabuga nalang ng hangin si Vice at piniling manahimik habang naglalakad silang dalawa ni Kath sa ABS hallway.
Habang dinadako ng mag-ama ang hallway, Kath managed herself to be busy on her phone. Specifically, on her instagram account:

Kath's attention diverted to her Dad when he called her name. She gave Vice a 'what' look.
"You'll go ahead. May asisikasuhin pa kasi si Daddy." He flashed a small smile and continued "Don't worry, Mang Kael is on his way to fetch you. You take care, okay?" Kath replied with a shrug and nodded her head slightly "Love u." Vice sweetly muttered as he living a kiss on his daughter's forehead. Kath just smiled awkwardly and left Vice hanging, waiting for her response. Napayuko nalang ang ama at nag umpisa nang lumakad pabalik sa loob ng ABS.

On the other hand, Nadine is currently browsing her social media accounts when a notebook just smashed at her. Her blood immediately boiled bc of that.
"Who the hell threw this notebook at me?!" Nadine screamed, gritted teeth
"Me! Any problem?" A teenage boy from a afar answered in full of confidence as he flashed a coy smile
"James?! You again?! Dafak you bastard! I ain't doing anything to you so why the hell you threw this to me?!" Nadine exclaimed as she taking small steps to this 'James' direction
"Nothing. I just want to pissed you off." He laughed at her face dahilan sa lalong pag init ng ulo ni Nadine "You're actually cute when you're mad." He huskily said as he leaning to her face "Like now, Baby." James said and left a small kiss on the top of her nose
"Ugh!!! You asshole!!" Nadine screamed from the top of her lungs at itinampal sa mukha ni James ang notebook na itinapun nito sakanya kanina lamang. After that ay karakaraka nyang kinuha ang bag and books nya para makalayas sa kinaroroonan na nakapatong sa bench, her fav spot where she always sit and spare her vacant time
"Oh shoot! What a nice show, James!" A friend of him said in a teasing way
"Oh shut up, Albie. I'm not yet done with her." He smirked as his sight followed her figure "I'm just starting, Baby Nadz." James whispered

Back to the Philippines, Kath is still wide awake kahit almost midnight na. She's starting to feel worry about her Dad kasi until now, hindi parin ito nakauwi.
She's currently at the sala of their house to wait for her father's arrival. After some minutes, she heard a loud thud from their main door kaya Kath decided to make her way there.
"Oh, Kath! Why u still up?" Bungad ng isang chinitong bakla at may kasama pang isang bakla na may built ang katawan habang bigat na bigat sila sa 'dating' amo
Imbis na sagutin ni Kath ang tanong ay pinili na lamang na huwag at tinignan ang lasing nyang ama.
"Why Daddy is drunk, Tito Buern and Tito Arch?" Kath questioned them with a stern look
"Kaloka! Tinanong natin tapos binalikan tayo ng tanong." Natatawang sambit ni Buern
"Broken hearted kasi. Lam mo na yun, Kath." Archie answered atsaka pinagtulungan nilang dalawa ni Buern na ilapag si Vice sa couch
"Po? Still about Mom? Am I right?" Kath concluded
"Malamang! Sa Mommy mo lang naman nainlove nang todo 'yang Daddy mo." Buern said
"Ahh." Kath nodded as a reply "Akyat muna ako sa room ko mga Tito. Wait a minute." Paalam nito na agad naman umakyat papunta sa kwarto
"Ichichika ba natin kay bagets na magkakareunion ang parentals nya?" Buern blurted out
"Gaga! Huwag mong pangunahan si Meme. Just leave it to him noh, baka masapak pa tayo ng dis oras. Matagal na akong nakamove on sa ka-brutalan nyan." Natatawang tugon ni Archie
"Edi huwaw." Buern japed
"Samahan mo'ko sa kitchen, nauuhaw ako. Napagod ako sa pagbuhat kay Meme." Aya ni Archie kay Buern na agad namang um-oo

Pagkalisan ng dalawang bakla ay ang pagbalik naman ni Kath sa sala. A pair of pillow and a blanket carried by her own self. When she realized na wala ang dalawa nyang tito ay agad syang lumapit sa ama and kneeled infront of the couch na hinihigaan ito.
"Sorry for being a bad girl, Dad. Nakadagdag pa ako sa sakit na iniwan ni Mommy na hanggang ngayon ay nararamdam mo parin." Kath gently whispered to Vice as she slowly placing the pillow sa ulohan at paanan ng ama "Be well, Dad. I love you." Malambing na bulong ni Kath sa ama at kinumutan na ito ng maayos

She's not expressive when Vice is awake or around but when he's sleeping, doon lumalabas ang other side ng anak. She's just afraid to show this off to her father. At kung bakit? She doesn't know.
Kathryn suddenly stunned when her Tito Archie gasped in shock dahil nahuli syang hinalikan ang tuktok ng ulo ng ama.
"Uh--uhm. That--that was nothing." She reasoned out sabay nang paglayo nya sa mahimbing paring natutulog ni Vice
"Sus. Wag mo'kong utuin, Girl! Nakita ko yun. Bakit parang natatakot kang may makakita sa'yo habang inaaruga mo yang ama mo?" Ispiya ni Archie
"What? Wala yun." She's looking down to avoid Archie's gaze as playing her hands
"Hay nako! Basta ito lang masasabi ko sa'yo... yung natunghayan ko kanina, touched my heart. As a friend of your father, napasaya mo ako kahit simple lang yung actions na ginawa mo sakanya. What more if he'll know, feel and sees that by his own, maiiyak na siguro yun sa tuwa, Kath." He paused and showed a sweet smile to her "Iparamdam at ipakita mo sakanya how much you love your Daddy, wag yung patago baka magsawa 'yang ama mo sa pagbibigay mo sakanya ng malamig na pakikitungo mo. Hangga't hindi pa huli ang lahat, ipadama mo na." Archie advice as he patted Kath on the shoulder. Kath just remained silent. Napa-pull out nalang ng face si Archie dahil after ng mataas nyang monologue ay wala syang nakuhang sagot mula sa dalaga kahit 'okay' man lang.
"Whoooh! Success!" Buern declared in joy after nyang magseremonyas sa cr kaya natawa si Kath at Archie nang marealize nilang naglabas ito ng dumi "Luh! Anong tinawa-tawa nyo dyan?" Clueless kunong turan ni Buern
"Sige na, Kath, mauuna na kami ng Tito Buern mo. Paki-ingatan yang ama. Make a corn soup tomorrow morning at ihain mo sa Daddy mo para maalis ang hangover. Okay?" Bilin ni Archie
"Ingat kayo dito bagets. Mornight! Sleep well babush!" Pa-kiyemeng paalam ni Buern
Nakangiting kumaway ang dalaga sa mga tito nya and when she made sure na nakaalis na sila ay agad nyang ni-lock ang gate at main door ng bahay. Papa-akyat na sana si Kath sa kwarto nya nang mapalingon sya sa direksyon ng ama.
"Good night, Daddy. You'll be okay." She muttered in a malambing way at nagflying kiss kay Vice
