Chapter Sixteen

GENERAL POV

Around one o'clock am when Karylle and Nadine arrived at Viceral's residence. Humahangos na mag-ina ang bumungad kay Kath. Karylle immediately asked her daughter if where's Vice, sinagot naman agad ni Kath na nasa kwarto. The twin sisters' eyes suddenly widen when they their mother ran upstairs.

"Walang duda. Mommy still loves Daddy so much." Kath sadly said. Nadine smiled at inakbayan ang kapatid

"I agree. Kaya dapat i-push na talaga natin yung oplan for their unfinish lovestory." Nadine said, wiggling her eyebrows

"How? Eh panay iwas si Dad kay Mom." Kath pursed her lips

"Basta. Wait lang tayo ng tiyempo." She winked caused Kath's eyebrows to arch.

"Okaaaay."

"Baby Kath, bakit ang taas ng lagnat ng Daddy mo? What happened ba?" Kaylle worriedly asked from passageway upstairs

"Idunno, Mom. Better ask, DJ. He's the one who hatid Dad here sa bahay." Kibit-balikat na sagot ni Kath

"Whaaaat? DJ?!" Nadine determine aura suddenly switch in beastmode aura. "Diba s'ya yung nagkulong sa atin sa cabinet when we was a child?!"

"Yep. Kaya—"

"Mga anak, tagal na nun. Galit pa rin kayo kay Daniel?" Natatawang puna ni Karylle pagkatapos daanan ang kambal. "Kath, may stock pa ba dito sa ref? I wanna cook a soup for your Dad." Tanong ni Karylle when she reached the kitchen area.

"Opo, just look for it inside, Mii." Kath answered after following their mother at the kitchen while Nadine just sat on the stool.

While Karylle is busy preparing the ingredients for the soup that she will be cooking, Nadine and Kath are just observing her with a big grin.

"What's that for?" Karylle asked after a small chukle.

"Nothingggg." They both answered, still with their grin.

"Hay nakooo!" She shooked her head nalang and continued what she's cooking.

"Ma, can you cook an omelette for me and Kath?" Nadine blurted out after a long silence.

"Sure." Karylle winked and tasted the soup that she cooked. "Mmm. Yummy."

"Can we taste it alsoooo?" Nakangiting paalam ni Kath na currently nasa gilid na ng ina. Karylle nodded with a smile and the twin sisters tasted it.

"Woah! Still the same. Uhm, actually, mas lalong sumarap 'tong special soup mo." Kath complemented with a wide smile on her lips

"Naman! Si Mommy pa." Nadine flashed a toothless smile.

"Mga bolero. Manang-mana sa ama." Pairap na sagot ni Karylle

"Hindi kayaaaa!"

"Asuuus. Bumalik na kayo doon sa pwesto n'yo kanina. I'll cook your request na."

Few minutes later...

"Enjoy your midnight meal, babies. I'll climb upstairs na, para mapakain 'to sa Daddy n'yo." Nakangiting paalam ni Karylle sa mga anak na kasalukuyang pinapakpak na ang niluto n'yang omelette and fried rice.

When she reached Vice' room, she slowly placed the tray of her special soup, water and medicine on the bedside table where Vice' his fast asleep. She pulled a chair from the corner of the room and silently sits on it. She stared at him for a couple of minutes until she decided to wake this up.
