Emily's POV
As I wait in the room before they take me to the Capitol, my legs are saking. How did I get here? I try to remember. First things first. I went to the Reaping. My dad kissed me in the forehead for good luck. I signed in. I waited. And then... And then my name was chosen. I didn't believe this. Neither I do now. I started crying, but eventually I got up there. Then the boy's name was reapes... What was it? Oh I remember. Nate. Nate something. I don't really care what his last name is... I only care that he is so strong. He seems pretty dangerous... I have no idea how I can deal with this...
As I keep crying, the door opens and my dad comes in. I try to whip away my tears but instead I cry more. My dad hugs me.
D: Emily, it's gonna be fine.
M:No it won't! I will die in there!
D: Don't think like that.
M: It's true!!
D: Ok Emily listen to me. He says as he gets me out of his arms.
You will be fine. I believe in you. Train as hard as you can and don't let the other tributes see that you are scared. Because I know what you are capable of.
M: Dad I don't think I can do this...
D: Yes you can. Think of your mum...
M: ok dad... I'll try my best.
D: I knew I can count on you Emily.
The door knocks and the Peacekeepers say that time is up.
D: I'll see you soon.
M: Dad! I love you!
But he didn't hear me...
