It was 9 by the time I finished, and Mordo still wasn't back. At that thought I heard the front door close and footsteps coming up the stairs. I just laid in my bed as I heard him walk in the room. I didn't move or say anything I just waited. I just heard him fall on his bed and let out a content sigh. His date must have gone better then good.
we didn't say anything to each other, we just stayed in this silence. That is until I heard a soft knocking at the door.
"Come in." I said before Mordecai got a chance to open his mouth. The door opened to a some what nervous Benson. Oh uh. I knew this was fro me.
"Oh hey Benson, is something wrong?" I was in trouble. Damn!
"Hmm? No nothings wrong. I do however need to talk to Rigby in my office." SHIT! That's it! I'M done for! Bye cruel world, You were always such a bitch and I never liked you.
"Oh! Yeah sure, i'm coming!" I said in a rush, eyes wide and hands clenched tight.
I looked at Mordo and gave a nervous laugh before following Benson to his office . The walk there was short but it seemed to stretch out longer and filled with uncomfortable silence. We finally got to his office were I saw Skips leaning on the wall closer to the desk.
'Oh Sugar Honey Iced Tea! I"m DEAD! Help me. . . Rei, what do i do ?!?!'
'Rigby calm down, Its okay. They don't look that angry.'
'Oh you don't know Benson, He's like a ticking time bomb! He can go off at any minute, and when he does Its so scary you see your life flash before your eyes!'
'Oh come one, we can handle him. Just calm down.'
'Okay, okay I got this. We got this. Right.'
' Defiantly!'
"Okay, ugh. . .Rigby"
"YES SIR?!" I yelled with my hand over my heart in a clenched fist and the other behind my back like a cadet would from that anime I LOVE so MUCH!! Benson just stared at me looking surprised and Skips looked at me funny and let out a chuckle.
"Calm down cadet , you're not in any trouble." I turned to look at Skips with a look of surprise. OMFG! He understood that!?! I relaxed with a huge grin on my face and lowered my hands back to my sides. Benson just kept glancing from me to Skips with a weird look as if to say he didn't understand any of what just happened.
"Um, okay then. . .?" he cleared his throat before straightening up "Rigby you obviously know why you're here so I'm just gonna say it. Yes me and Skips are. . .together. We didn't tell anyone because well we didn't know everyone would take it." he said looking at Skips in a loving gaze. Skips returned the same loving gaze and smiled wider. I smiled and looked at them, I suddenly began to feel dreadful and I looked down at my hands.
They must have sensed my mood change and the looked at me with what I could only guess was a look of sadness. It in reality pissed me off. They felt bad for me and I've had enough people troubling themselves over me. It pissed me off even thought I didn't want it to. I knew they cared for and that's why they had such expressions. I looked up at them with a painfully fake smile.
