"I'm just gonna go for a walk to clear my mind and then I might just come back. I don't want to bother you while you sleep." He looked at us with the same expression and then he smiled and let go of our arm. We smiled back and turned to open the door, when we were about to step out we heard a soft whispered 'Thank you'.

(Rei's p.o.v)
Rigby is currently trying to teach me how to drove the golf cart, so far I was doing well. He was surprised that I was able to learn how to do it so fast. Now he was directing me somewhere, he didn't tell me where it was we where going but I didn't really care I know I'll like wherever it is. It didn't take long before we got to our destination. I turned off the cart and stepped out, I looked up at the tall building and read the words at the top.
'Book Paradise?' I questioned making my way inside.
'Do you know what books are?' Rigby asked sounding nervous and anxious.
'Someone once read to us from a box filled with thin pieces of paper and when they finished they said it was their favorite 'book'. I don't know what it actually was but form what I'm seeing here I'm guessing these are what you call books.' I answered back while looking around.
'Books are... my only tickets out of this reality without ending myself. I love books because they...they help forget the pain even if for just a little bit. Same with Anime. Something about them just make you laugh and smile and forget for a moment all of your troubles. Everyone wishes that they didn't have to face the problems they have yet they still have to. Anime and books just help us take the blow a little more softly." Rigby's eyes gleamed when he spoke about books and anime.
I smiled sadly, reaching a hand to caress the pendant. I felt him and he felt me. It was a comforting to know he could feel it, it means the he trusts me and that our bonds are much stronger then I thought. I kept looking around the store. It looked and felt quite at home. The book shelves were very tall yet they didn't touch the ceiling and the lighting was dim in a clam way. I didn't notice before but there was music playing, it was faint yet I could still get lost in it. There were tables and soft looking couches and chairs, old antique looking lamps on the small rounded tables. everything about this place was comforting.
'How did you find this place?' I asked Rigby as I kept taking in the beauty of this store.
'It was raining and I only had my hoodie and I was stressed and conflicted with my thoughts. Mordecai had told me he had a crush on Margaret and that he was gonna try to ask her out. I smiled and the moment he left I ran, I ran until I was lost and cold. I was cold and the nice lady who owns this store saw me broken and in the rain. She let me in, warmed me up, gave me some tea, and we had a nice conversation. She treated me like her son and ever since I've seen her like a mother.' He responded with a faint smile and a sad look in his eyes. I grabbed a hold of the pendant again. stocking it with my thumb. It was to be similar as if I was rubbing his back in comfort.
He smiled wider at me and I guess he was very happy because in a flash of light he was by my side. He took a hold of my hand and led me to the front of the store. I kept quiet and he did the same. We got to the counter and we saw a lady, maybe in her late thirties, who had pale skin, soft sea green eyes that sparkled with joy when she saw Rigby, a kind and motherly smile that brightened even more when he smiled back at her, her dark brunette hair was in a pony tail and I could tell her hair wasn't too long. When they stood in front of each other she was a couple inches taller then him.
They greeted each other like family and it seemed that that's what they were to one another. It made me happy that even if he was sad, or lonely, or even if I wasn't there, He still had someone who loved him.
They bother turned to look at me and I offered my most happiest smiles. Rigby pulled my hand so that i could get closer and had me stand next to him as he introduced me to the kind looking lady. It made her smile more and even giggle at how Rigby had pulled me over to them.
"Rei, this is Ms. Lila, she is like a mom to me I come here whenever I can to help her out with whatever she needs." He smiled gently at her and looked at me.
"Hello Ms. Lila," I said as I gave a fancy bow. "It's a pleasure to meet you." I finished off by taking her hand in mine and giving it a peck like you would in the old times.
Ms. Lila giggled and looked from Rigby to me.
"What a charming brother you have here Rigby, why didn't you introduce him to me before?" She looked at me with a kind smile and I returned it.
"Well, um...up until a few days ago I didn't even know he was there. He was waiting and watching over me, protecting me." He looked at me with a sad and kind smile. Again I returned it and Ms. Lila looked at us with the same soft look and hugged us both.
"Let me guess, he was a star high above the earth watching over you right?" She said with a mischievous smirk on her once kind features. Rigby and I looked at her in surprised shock and then we turned to look at each other before looking back at her.
"Ms. Lila how did- how did you-?" His question was cut short when she looked at me and began laughing.
"Oh I didn't know but you just told me! I had my suspicion and I guess I was right." She still displayed that kind smile and crossed her hands over her chest. I took a longer look at her before it became clear to me.
Rigby and I must still have our minds bounded because his eyes widened and he let out a loud gasp. I chuckled softly and he must have heard me because he gave a mad growl and a slightly hard punch to the shoulder.
"So, Ms. Lila is- WAS a star just like you?!" He asked looking back and forth between Ms. Lila and me. We both just gave him nod and smiled. He started going crazy and asking us both questions but hardly enough time to answer them before he started asking more. It seemed like he was running out of breath, he gasped for more air and right when I opened my mouth he asked more questions.
He didn't seem like he'd stop anytime soon so we both patiently waited fro him stop and let us answer or wait until he tired himself out. For some reason unknown to me I began to grow tiered and weak. I looked for the nearest seat and as calmly as I could I sat down without giving out any hints about my problem.
My vision began to grow blurry and the colors were blending in with one another. My heart was confusing me. I didn't know if it was slowing down or speeding up but it hurt so much, everything was hurting and I couldn't handle it.
"Hey, Rigby? I think its time I go back to my other form, you know if I keep being out here it will end up hurting you really bad." I said as I stood next to him, it took all of my strength not to collapse or scream. I just gave him a soft smile waiting for his response.
He looked confused at first but then he looked like understood what I meant and slowly nodded. Before I left I gave him an apologetic smile and I knew that the look in my eyes was one of sadness. I felt terrible for lying to him but at the moment it wasn't a lie, its true he could grow weak to the point of collapsing and falling into a deep sleep if we were in separate bodies for too long.
The only reason I was the one to be affected right now is because I was in the presence of a far more stronger star then me. Ms. Lila was a shooting star and I was- am a weak star. I was back to being a pendant around Rigby's neck and above his chest. I don't have much time in this form anymore. I thought I did but I guess I'm much weaker then I thought. I just hope Rigby is safe if anything happens to me, when the time comes I know I'll cause him more harm then good.
I really am sorry , Rigby.
Okay , now I'm the one that is sorry. I know I haven't been updating and having new chapters up for this story of my other one but I'm really trying here people! I 'll try to get more in if I can, I'm just a really lazy person and I procrastinate a lot so... Hey! at least be happy that I still put up chapters!!!
