After I had fallen asleep I expected to see Rei like always, but this time it was different. I woke up to see blue, just blue everywhere. I was gonna call out to Rei but when I opened my mouth, my lungs were instantly filled with water.
Water?! Why water?! Where am I?! Rei? Rei! REI!!
All these thoughts where racing in my find. I began to panic, my breaths were quickening and heart was racing. I couldn't breathe, and I was starting to lose consciousness. . . I couldn't think anymore. . . Too tired. . . I need to find Rei. . .Rei. . .
That was my last thought as my eyes closed and I couldn't think of anything anymore. It all just went black.

The first voice I hear when I'm beginning to gain consciousness...it was familiar yet I didn't know who it was...
Ooopeeen ~ yoooouur~ eeeyeeesss~ Riiiigbyyy~~
The voice echoed and faded a lot, it was a bit hard to understand what they were saying but I did what I was told. I opened my eyes and saw the same thing I saw when I first woke up....blue.
I was about to start panicking again when I saw a pulsing light coming from left. I turned to look at it but my movements were slow underwater. Once I was in a good position I began to swim towards the light.
The closer I got to it I started to notice that the light was coming from a figure in the center of it. I would have called out but remembering what had happened last time I opened my mouth to speak I kept my mouth shut.
As I was nearing the pulsing light I heard a child laugher. The longer I listened to it I realized that the pulsing was matching with the laugher. By now I was right behind it when ..."it" turned around to face me.
I stayed still, as still as I could stay to not sink, and watched as it got closer to me. It flowed easily in the water, as if it belonged there.

It's voice sounded smooth and sweet, child like. As it spoke the light pulsed with the words, as it did they also dimmed ever so slightly. I almost didn't notice it at first.
If I could have spoken to it I would have but didn't. I stayed quiet, looking at it with awe. It inched slightly closer to me and it was then I was able to make out a couple of it'd features.
It had wide eyes the color of caramel, tan chubby cheeks, long lashes, and a small smiling mouth. It's hair was short, just below the ears and it's bangs weren't too long, it too was a caramel color if not just a tad bit darker. It reminded me of what Rei would have looked like if he was younger....which meant they looked like...me when I...was younger...
The expression on my face must have said it all because he, which I'm sure that if I was right 'it' was actually a 'he', began to giggle. It sounded sweet and innocent, just like the child he was. Yet I knew that giggle, I knew it because I've given it too many times before. I knew that behind that sweet, care-free, innocent giggle and smile...was something not so sweet, something stressing, and something broken.
I reached out to him out of instinct and pulled him close to me. I was sad, angry, and concerned for him...what had this child been put through for them to have to fake a smile and a laugh like that...who had been the ones to put then thought it in the first place.
