"Hello Benson and Skips, glad to finally meet you. Like Rigby said I'm Rei, his twin brother." I said
They just continued staring.
"This is going to take a lot of explaining to do, isn't it?" Rigby and I said in union. We turned to look at each other and started laughing.
Now. . .
(Rigby's p.o.v)
After explaining everything to Benson and Skips we left to go work. I went back to being the pendant. I had to tell Rei what to do since he was new to this human world.
'Do you really not know anything about the human world?' I asked with disbelief.
'Well I do know a little bit of this world, not everything. It's just somethings I hear from those who do talk to the stars.' He answered back while continuing to work.
'What do you mean from 'those who do talk to stars?' Do the stars really listen? Oh! Can they talk back?!' I asked letting my imagination ho wild.
'Hehehe. Yes, we stars listen to everyone who speak to us. It doesn't matter where or what language they speak to us in. We always listen. Sadly we can't talk back to them. I'm many cases we wished we could.' He seemed sad as he said that last part.
'So, they're are more of you? Is every star in the sky a person like us?' I asked curiously.
'Yes, all the stars in the sky are like us. Every star used to be a person. When you die, certain people don't go to heaven or hell, they go to the sky. They become the stars, not just one star but your entire being makes up an entire group of stars.' When he spoke of this he had an extremely happy expression that made me feel warm inside. I liked watching my brother be happy like this.
'Does it get lonely up there? Being so far away form everyone must get lonely.'I asked hoping this didn't ruin the happy mood he was in.
'Not really, believe it or not someone is always talking to the stars. No matter how many people at once are talking to us we all listen. To every single one.' He looked relaxed and happy. I liked talking to him and making him happy.
'Every time you talked to us I was happy to listen. But every time you would harm yourself, I wished desperately for you to be able to hear me. We stars do talk back, but that doesn't mean you will be able to hear us. I screamed so many times, screamed until my voice broke and I couldn't speak for days, screamed until I passed out. But you couldn't hear me or any of us.' He looked sad. I didn't want to make him sad again! I was gonna say something but he interrupted me with a sad smile and spoke again. 'But now you can hear me and all the stars. You are never alone. Just look at the stars and you'll never be alone.' He smiled brighter.
What he said stayed on my mind the entire day. Before I knew it we were now inside getting g ready to clean the windows. I again had to help Rei with what he had to do. We talked more to pass the time and when we were done it was 11 a.m. Mordecai asked us if we wanted to head over to the cafe to take a break like we always do. No doubt in my mind that he just wanted to go visit Margaret. Rei sensed my discomfort and was about to decline but I thought this would be a good thing for Rei to learn to interact with those other then the one's at the Park.
We had agreed and now we were sitting in silence in the golf cart, it was . . .very uncomfortable. We had nothing to talk about with Mordecai so me and Rei had our own conversation. I almost didn't notice Mordecai had started to speak to us if it weren't for Rei.
"Hey ,Rigby? You okay bro? You seem out of it today, did something happen?" He seemed very concerned for us, um me? Whatever, all that mattered was that he was actually worried.
Rei was waiting for me say something to tell Mordecai. I just told him to smile and nod at him, but to make it believable. He did what I asked and Mordecai bought it, not that he wouldn't, as long as it wasn't me who actually smiled and nodded to him he'd buy it easily.
"Hey I um, I noticed that you went to up to the roof last night and you, you came back in pretty late. What were you doing up there all night?" He asked glancing up at us very often but then reverting his gaze to the road.
Like before Rei waited for me to give him a response, but I just smiled and he instantly knew what to say.
"Just talking with the stars."
Okay another chapter done! I'm sorry for the hold up but I've got a minor case of writers block. I wanted to get this chapter out so I don't have an image for it but I'll try to get an image out for every chapter and I just realized that I also missed a pic for one of the previous chapters so I'll also try to make up for that. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'm sorry it's short but hey, at least you got something!
