Chapter 5

Penny's POV

   Callie and I just got done with some of the most passionate sex I've ever had in my life. Though I want it to continue forever, I need to have a serious heart to heart with Callie. There's a sinking pit in my stomach and it needs to be addressed. 

   "Callie, I need to talk to you about something important." She nods, motioning for me to continue. "I loved the sex that we just had so much, but I can't help but feel that you needed it as a distraction rather than pleasure. So is there a distraction? She sighs. "Yes and no. I had sex with you because sex with you is always amazing, but there is a slight distraction." "What's the distraction Callie? You know you can trust me." Callie sighs again. "I know I can, but it might hurt you." I put on a brave face. "I can handle it. Tell me."

    "Penny, a part of me is still in love with Arizona. It always has been, but some feelings are starting to come back." I moved a few inches away from her. "Oh." She reaches out for me. "See Penny, I didn't want to tell you until I at least figured everything out. I knew you would react this way." Hearing that I roll eyes. "How else did you expect me to react? You just told me that you're still in love with your ex who cheated on you multiple times and left you twice. I just don't see how you could love a woman like that." 

   Anger flashes in Callie's eyes. "It's more complicated than you think Penny. Her and I were together for a few years. Not to mention that she's the mother of my child. We have joint custody of Sofia so we see each other on a regular basis. So don't flip out on me for telling the truth. Most people wouldn't be able to even do that."

     I get out of bed and throw my clothes back in a rather aggressive manner. "Well until you're through playing your game, leave me alone. I'm not going to be a pawn, nor am I going to be a second choice." With that being said, I storm out of Callie's apartment. I slam the door and fall to the floor in endless tears.  What did I do to deserve this?
