Brendon's POV
I scan the audience as I walk on stage, my eyes landing on a girl in the front row. She's wearing a beautiful dress and her smile is gorgeous. My god, she's beautiful! Who is this girl?
I come to the end of singing New Perspective, and yell out to the audience, well mostly to this girl, "How's everyone fucking doing tonight!?" I get a few screeches, but nothing from my mystery girl. I ask again, this time directing the question right at her, "How about you, doll? How are you doing?"
She looks around for a bit then looks back at me, pointing at herself in confusion. I laugh a bit and say, "Yeah, you, front row, brown hair, black and white dress." Dare I say it? "By the way it looks really sexy on you." I wink at her and she hides her head by looking down. Somehow I can't regret it.
She whispers something to Zach, my body guard and he climbs onto the stage, hobbling over to me. "She says she's fantastic. Her name's Sarah, you should sing for her." He suggests, raising his eyebrows and I chuckle under my breath. Well, if her name's Sarah . . .
Turning back to my fans, I smile, "Thanks Zach. Let's get back to the music, shall we?" There are many shouts of agreement, so I start to sing Sarah Smiles.
I was fine just a guy living on my own,
Waiting for the sky to fall
Then you called and changed it all,
Doll,Velvet lips and the eyes to pull me in,
We both know you'd already win,
Mm your original sin,You fooled me once with your eyes now honey,
You fooled me twice with your lies and I say,Sarah smiles like Sarah doesn't care,
She lives in her world so unaware,
Does she know that my destiny lies with her,Sarah (Sarah, Sarah, Sarah)
Oh Sarah (Sarah) are you saving me?Waking up to a kiss and you're on your way,
I really hoped that you would stay,
But you left and went your own way,
Babe,I don't mind take your time I got things to do,
Besides sit around and wait for you,
Oh and I hope you do too,You fooled me once with your eyes now honey,
You fooled me twice with your lies and I say,Sarah smiles like Sarah doesn't care,
She lives in her world so unaware,
Does she know that my destiny lies with her,Sarah,
Oh Sarah,
are you saving me?And it's killing me inside,
Consuming all my time,
You've left me blind,
And when I think I'm right,
You strip away my pride,
You cast it all aside but I say,Sarah smiles like Sarah doesn't care,
She lives in her world so unaware,
Does she know that my destiny lies with her,Sarah (Sarah)
Oh Sarah (Sarah) are you saving me?As I finish the song, I notice that Sarah is gone. I frown a little and look around. She might have gone to the washroom or something? But her friends are gone too. My hand starts to twitch and I think quickly.
"We're going to take a quick break, and be back in a few minutes." I announce to the audience, putting my mic back on the jack and running off the stage. I hear a few mutters of confusion as I walk over to Zach. "Hey, man. Where'd Sarah and her friends go?" I ask him. He points toward he lobby.
"She went into the hallway with her two friends. I think she was crying, B." Shit. Why would she be crying? Am I that scary? I have to go talk to her.
I run out into the crowd to try and find Sarah and her friends. One of them had bright red hair, I should be able to spot that no problem. I look for about two minutes and then hear a voice from behind me.
"Guys, I don't know if I'm OK with Brendon Urie telling me I look sexy, especially because he's nine years older than I am." I turn and see Sarah sitting in a corner with a guy who's at least six feet tall and the red head.
I walk over to them and address her without thinking. "Don't cry, dear. We can take things really slow if you'd like?" I walk up to Sarah and kneel in front of her. She swipes at her tears, trying to smile.
"Brendon Urie," the tall kid says, looking at me with a sad smile. He stands slightly in front of Sarah, very protectively.
"Shit, you have a boyfriend! Sorry, I'll leave." How could I be so stupid? Obviously a random girl at my show is probably going to have a boyfriend. I stand up and turn around, but a hand catches my arm before I can walk away. It's the same kid.
"It's fine, I'm gay." He smiles a little and then whispers, "She just doesn't trust men," The red head swats at his arm and scowls at him.
"TANNER!" She yells.
"It's the truth, Ryan! You want me to lie to him and say that I'm Sarah's boyfriend? That's already happened on too many occasions!" Tanner yells back.
"I'm right here." I motion at myself, like an idiot. "So what if you're gay, and she hates most guys? Everyone's got a secret that has to be let out." I look down at Sarah, and she smiles at me, her cheeks stained red with tears, so I reach out my hand to help her up. She flinches at my sudden movement, but grabs my hand after seeing that I'm not a danger.
"Brendon's right." She agrees. I like the way she says my name, it's like something sweet rolling off her cute little tongue. "You should get back to the show, they aren't all here for me." She squeezes my hand and lets go, shooing me away like a mother does to a pestering child. I head back to the stage and finish what I started.
