Sarah's POV
Oh my god! Brendon Urie just kissed me! I just let him kiss me! What is wrong with me? I have to end anything that has just started! It's bad for me, and, ultimately, bad for Brendon.
"We can't do this, Brendon." I say as we reach the top of the stairs. He looks at me sideways and continues to walk towards the front door.
"What do you mean? It was all just a game. I wouldn't have kissed you if I didn't think it was all just for fun." He says it, but I can see the pain in his eyes. I know that he really likes me, even if we've only just met, but it can't work out.
I can hear Mrs. Chum lecturing Ryan and Tanner downstairs and I feel bad for them. It wasn't really their fault. Brendon could have said no, I should have said no.
"Oh. Yeah OK. Umm . . . if you, y'know, ever wanna talk or something, here's my number. Just in case, I'm really good at listening." I write my number on his arm and he smiles down at me.
"Will do, Sarah. I'll text you so that you have my number, too." Brendon winks at me before turning to the door. "Night, Sare." I tense up at that God forsaken nick name, my dad used to call me that.
"Yeah, you too. But Brendon, I think it's morning." I giggle over my uneasiness, giving him a hug. He hugs me back tightly. I feel so safe and I drink in his scent. He smells like that really expensive cologne and . . . peaches? Yum.
I don't realize how long we've been hugging, until Brendon sighs. "Sarah, I'd like to take you out for dinner tomorrow night. If that's okay with you?" Shocked, I pull out of the hug, but still stand close to him. I look into his dark brown eyes and challenge them with my own.
"As friends, right?" I clarify. I don't want a relationship with anyone, I just want a simple friendship. Things get too complicated in relationships.
"As whatever you want, doll." He chuckles lightly, grazing my cheek with the side of his hand and walking out the door. I head back downstairs to a big argument between Mrs. Chum and Ryan.
"And how do you think Mrs. Zeal would feel if she knew her daughter was hanging around a 30 year old man?" Mrs. Chum asks. At this, I groan.
"He's 25, and she isn't going to find out. I told Brendon that it wasn't going to happen. Don't worry, Mrs. Chum. I'm on top of the situation." I answer from behind her. As Mrs. Chum walks away, Ryan snickers.
"It looked like Brendon was the one on top to me . . ." She is so gross! I run at her and we fall to the floor in a heap of giggles.
Tanner must have gone off to bed somewhere, because we can't find him. I guess Mrs. Chum sent him away after a few minutes of arguing with Ryan. It's not like he really did anything . . . I check my phone and find a new message from a random number.
Hey it's Beebo!~B
Lol. Hey Beebo, it's Sarebear!~S
I text back, giggling to myself. Ryan stares at me as I put my phone away. My smile turns to a smug smirk "What?" I ask her, arms crossed.
"'I told him it wouldn't happen' my ass!" She laughs sarcastically. I shake my head at her.
"That's the truth! But, I can't stop thinking about him and I think it's already becoming something. He asked me to go to dinner with him tomorrow night . . ." I find it hard not to smile, and Ryan raises her eyebrows at me.
"Well, if you're going to dinner he definitely likes you." Ryan laughs, pulling me into a hug and leading me up the stairs.
I'm in for an adventure, and I'm not sure where it will take me, but I'm excited for what's to come. All my dreams are coming true, nothing can ruin them.
