Chapter 9 : Blind Date

The next day ...

Thank God! Walang pasok ngayon at makakapagrest ako the whole day. Masyado akong pinuyat ng GBB's kagabi. They are such pain in the ass.

At dahil ako ang walang hang over sa aming apat ako na ang nagkusang magprepare ng breakfast namin.

Simple breakfast lang. Ham. Egg. Bacon. Fried rice. At super duper na napakatapang na black coffee for the three of them.

And in just a minute they are all here sa dining table. They all look like zombies.

"Ano? Masaya ba ang night out party ha?" I asked them sarcastically while giving them coffee. "Oh ayan inumin niyo ng mawala yang hang over niyo."

"Grabe ang sakit ng ulo ko!" reklamo ni Sam

"Buti ka nga ulo lang ang masakit. Look at this! Ang sakit ng kalmot sa face at arms ko." reklamo naman ni Natasha.

Sa kanilang tatlo si Natasha ang may pinaka maraming kalmot. From her arms up to her neck and face. For sure pag nalaman 'to ng parents niya and ng parents namin. Oh my g! I don't know what will happen to all of us.

"Alam niyo once na malaman 'to ng parents natin. Goodbye Philippines and Hello New York ang peg nating lahat!"

"Calm down Den. Everything will be fine." kalmadong sabi ni Erika.

We all started to eat na. And before I forgot. May desert nga pala.

"Hi baby! Oh my g! I'm so excited to see you!"

My all time favorite blue berry cheese cake! Pagbalik ko sa dining area nandoon pa din ang GBB's. I thought bumalik na sila sa room nila.

They are just staring at me. Uhm actualy hindi naman sakin kundi sa baby cake ko.

"You know what Den. They say na malakas makataba ang cheesecake." ---Sam.

"Yeah! Alam mo tumataba ka na nga eh." ---Erika.

"Stop eating cakes you know." ---Natasha

They are so mean. Anong akala nila madadala nila ko sa mga bad comments nila. Bad GBB's.

"I don't care." I just said.

And I slice the cake. They were just staring. Kung inggitin ko kaya ang mga 'to.

I slowly take a bite of it and I can't help but to close my eyes. Heaven! And when I open my eyes nakapuppy eyes na sila sakin.

"Can we just have one slice please." they all said.

"I'll think about it. Hmmm. Okay! One slice lang para sa inyong tatlo. Share na kayo dun." seryoso kong sabi.

"What!" ulit ng mga ito.

"Just joking. Go kuha na! It's for all of us!"

"Walang iistorbo sa beauty sleep ko ha! I have a date mamaya." Erika said.

May show na naman ang isang 'to. The "kunwaring girlfriend" Hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi pa nila totohanin ni kuya Zac.

"Ako walang date pero bawal din akong istorbohin." ---Sam.

"Me too!" sambit din ni Natasha.

At isa isa na nila kong iniwan. Magmovie marathon na nga lang. Solo ko ang couch! Ang t.v! Woohoo!

Pero sabi nga nila hindi mawawala ang panira sa happy moment mo.

Kuya calling....

Should I answer it or not? Oh c'mon! I should right!

"Hi kuya! .....uhm I'm not busy why? .... Okay I'll be there in a minute. Bye!"

My happy moment with the couch and tv wala na! Ugh!

Kuya's house.

Yeah right! May sarili ng house ang kuya ko. He is living on his own na. And anytime pwede na niyang ayaing magpakasal si Ate Thea. Ang long time girlfriend niya and soon to be wife.

"Kuya I'm here na!" sigaw ko agad pagpasok pa lang sa sala.

"Denise! I'm glad you're here na!" Ate thea said and she gave me a hug. She's so cheerful as ever!

Galing siya sa kitchen for sure masarap na naman ang breakfast ni kuya. Ate thea is a chef sa isa sa mga Hotels namin. And honestly speaking, she's a very good chef.

"Where's kuya, Ate thea?"

"Nasa room niya nag-aayos lang. Kumain ka na ba?"

"Yeah! Anyway Ate Thea do you have any idea kung ano yung favor ni kuya?"

Sa sobrang curious ko pati si Ate Thea tinanong ko na. For sure sinasabi naman ni kuya ang lahat dito.

"It's better kung umupo muna tayo sa may sala."

And she immediately pull my hand ang lead me to the sofa at umupo kami. Sakto namang paglabas ni kuya from his room.

"Oh little sister there you are!" and he give me a quick kiss on my cheek.

"So hon have you tell her about our favor?"

"Actually hon ngayon pa lang."

And they both look at me intently.

"Ang serious niyo namang dalawa. So what's the favor?"

"I need your help Denise. Please date my cousin."

"What? I beg your pardon Ate."

Did I clearly heard what Ate thea said or medyo nabingi ako. Did she said date?

"Your Ate Thea wants you to date her cousin. Nagka emergency kasi yung totoong ka date ng pinsan niya. So I suggest na ikaw muna ang magsub tutal naman you're not busy right?"

Okay! My kuya wants to date me sa isang guy na hindi ko know. This is imposible!

"Don't worry Denise, Jay is a good guy." ate thea said.

"Na-meet ko na siya so don't worry little sis. Your in good hands okay?"

So I don't have a choice at all. I'm going to date  someone I don't know! And it's my first ever date! Great!
