"ADAM!" Amanda yelled when she reached the surface. Percy, Annabeth, and lizzy were all laughing and hugging their stomachs. "Were you all on it?!" Amanda said pointing to them all. She found herself laughing as well. She hadn't felt this happy in a long time. She felt like she had finally found her home.
They spent the rest of the day at the lake and just had fun. Percy and Adam spent most of it showing off their water tricks. But Amanda got back at Adam with a little help from Lizzy. When Adam was in the middle of making letters in the sky with water Amanda went under water and grabbed his leg flipping in over. They all laughed as Adam yells and goes under water. When they heard the horn for dinner they all hurried out and ran to their cabins to dry off. Amanda, Annabeth and Lizzy ended up being right on time, followed by a very late Percy and Adam.
Amanda shyly went to sit at the Athena cabin with Annabeth who introduced her. Everyone seemed friendly enough. When the food came, Amanda noticed that everyone got up to go to the fire with their plates. A girl that sat across from Annabeth walked over to Amanda.
"We put a part of our food as a way to thank the gods. My name is Emily by the way." Emily smiled and walked with Amanda to put their food in the fire. After that they all sat to eat and talk. A lot of people wanted to hear about Athena since a few kids had missed it. Some asked if she was scared. (yes very. But she didn't say that. So she just shrugged.) And on and on. After dinner was over she got to her cabin and as soon as Amanda's head hit that pillow she fell fast asleep. What she didn't know was that this was going to be her last normal day.
