chapter 7: Training

Amanda woke up to someone shaking her wake. It was Lizzy. When Amanda opened her eyes she saw Lizzy with her bow and arrow (she still didn't know how it turned into a necklace into a bow and arrow.) in hand and ready to shoot. "Amanda hurry someone's following us! We are under attack and they got Adam. Go put on clothes and run outside!!" Amanda jumped out of bed put a tank top shorts running shoes and brushed her hair and put it in a ponytail. She ran outside where she saw Lizzy. "come on we are going to get you a weapon." They ran into the woods, just when Amada thought they were lost they came into an opening. In the middle there was a table with every weapon she knew about. Even some she had no idea what they were. But they all seemed to be made by the same things Lizzys bow and arrow were made off. "Pick one. Only one was made just for you. Every demigod has their own weapon that is for them and only them." Amana looked around and around. But then she noticed something in the far corner. It stood out then the others. It was a pendent in the shape of an owl with a smaller owl in the middle. "That's odd I haven't seen that one before but hurry we don't have much time." Lizzy looked around looking very worried. When Amanda touched the pendent time froze. Something in her gut told her to press the smaller owl in the middle. When she did it turned into a small dagger. It fit her perfectly. It was as if..... as if it was meant for her. She heard Lizzy gasp and it brought her back into reality.

"this was meant for me." Amanda turned to face Lizzy who nodded. "Now lets go save Adam."

They both took off into the woods. Then they got to another opening. That's when the monsters attacked.

Three 15 feet tall men with one eye came out from behind some big trees. Amanda recognize as Cyclops. One of them lunged at Lizzy while the other tried to grab Amanda. Amanda grabbed her dagger and ducked as one of the cyclops swung their fist. Amanda knew that even though they were big and strong that also made them mostly clumsy too. This was proven right when Amanda ducked right her opponent fell a little but regained their balance. It wasn't enough. Amanda slashed her dagger at the monster but she couldn't get close enough to kill them. Meanwhile Lizzy had killed one Cyclops. Dust was everywhere. She was working on the second one but he kept ducking and she kept missing with her arrows. But Amanda was too busy fighting off this annoying cyclops that just wouldn't die! "AMANDA HELP M-" Lizzy had run out of arrows and the cyclops had one hand on her mouth and another on her bow. He started to drag Lizzy away as she was kicking and screaming and punching. But Amanda couldn't do anything. The cyclops she had been fighting started to back down and ran off with the other that had Lizzy. Just when Amanda was going to run after them. She heard a voice she knew just too well. "well congrats. You passed the test."
