chapter 15: the battle

Chapter 15

Amanda didn't care. She had been hurt to many times by this god. She grabbed her dagger and charged at him. A black sword appeared in Phobos hand and the two were locked into this deadly fight. Amanda ducked as he swung his sword. Amanda with her dagger managed to cut his leg. He screamed in agony. He swung once more. But this time he didn't miss. The flat of the blade hit Amanda. Sending her flying backwards where she hit a wall. "You still want to fight me, little demi-god?" Amanda's body didn't move. "good. Whos next?" then Amanda weakly stood up. Lizzy and Adam had split up Adam was now charging at the god but Lizzy and the campers was no were to be seen. Good. She had bought her some time. Amanda slowly made her way to the closest backpack. Which was Adams. She opened it and tried to find some ambrosia. When she pulled the baggie out a picture fell out. As Amanda picked it up to put it away she noticed it was of Adam. A few years younger but it was Adam. It was a picture of him maybe around nine or ten with his mom. They were on a beach holding hands. Adam was in front of a sand castle with the happiest smile ever. Amanda smiled sadly and put the picture back. She ate the food of the gods and felt better than ever. Phobos had his back to Amanda, fighting Adam. Adam slashed and cut but Phobos seemed to be just little better. At one point Adam pins him against the wall and just as he was going to gab his sword into Phobos heat, Phobos just laughed and disappears in a puff of red and black smoke. Amanda is finally strong enough to fight. She charges into the fight just as Phobos spins around and grabs Amanda by the throat and lifts her up off the ground. Amanda struggles for breath as she grabs her neck.

"You really think you defeat me?" Phobos asks with a chuckle. "didn't you know? I AM F-"

Just then Phobos was cut off by an arrow going right into his arm, making him drop Amanda. She falls to the ground hugging her throat. It was Lizzy. She ran into the throne room and knocked another arrow. "Yeah. We get it, your fear. Get a better catch phrase dude."

Phobos roared in pain. "silly demigods. Didn't you remember what that stupid goddess said? EVERYONE must face their fear before even having a chance to win against me. But not everyone has now have they Adam? And I think you know what your greatest fear is correct? Oh well I do." Phobos once again grabbed Amanda and this time he didn't let go. Just as her body went still, a shower of gold washed her body away. Adam and Lizzy stood there in shock for a second and only a second. That's when the anger took over. Just like that they both knew that they needed to do. Lizzy charged at Phobos shooting her arrows aimed at his head just as Phobos turns around Adam runs behind the god and stabs his sword into Phobos heart.

Just as he digs the sword deeper Into his chest, he whispers. "no one messes with my friends." and with that Phobos disappeared back to Olympus knows were. But they knew two things. That Phobos wouldn't be coming back anytime soon and... and that Amanda was dead.
