Claire-
Claire sat on the floor with Sapphire. She was feeding her some porridge. Sapphire held a plushie of a wolf. She didn't let go of that plushie.
"The weather here is nice," Luna was on the balcony enjoying the breeze. "Is it always like this?"
"Yes," Claire wiped Sapphire's cheeks. "We do have seasons, but the temperature remains the same."
"Laire," Sapphire opens her mouth. She's a hungry one.
"Sorry," she fed her. Sapphire wiggles her feet. Sapphire is enjoying the porridge she cooked. Claire had woken up early to make breakfast for Sapphire—something she could digest.
Porridge made out of bananas and strawberries, cherries, and chunks of granola. She was enjoying the cherries. They are her favorite fruit.
"Laire, Aito?" She said. Aito? Who is that?
"Who's Aito?" Claire asked.
"Aito," she hugged the wolf.
Aito sounded familiar as she stared at the little wolf. An image came into mind. It was an image of Skyler, the boy that Dom brought. Why did she remember him?
She winced and set the bowl down. Her belly pulse and her head throb. Memories of Skyler whiz past her eyes. She was in those memories, laughing, playing, having the time of their lives.
She stood. "Skyler." She remembers him. Why did she forget him? He was her best friend. He used to be a prisoner to her father. Her father mistreated him. Claire frowned. "I'll be back!" She ran out of the room.
She needs to get to Skyler. How could she have forgotten her best friend? She groaned as her belly kept pulsating. She entered the grand hall and glared at her father.
"Where is he?!" She yelled.
"Who?" He frowned. "Claire, are you all right?"
Claire is glad she's wearing a full cover today. She could only imagine what her father would do to her if he found out one of the silver rods was missing. She could freely see the rod burning now. It's like her body was rejecting them.
"Skyler, where is he?" She asked again.
He frowned. "The demon?" She nodded. "He's locked up. I told you he's a criminal."
"No, he's not," she glared. "Skyler is my best friend," she said. Her father turned ashen; it's like she just told him the world was ending. What was he afraid of?
"That boy is nothing to you," he tried to convince her.
"Yes, he is; stop lying to me and tell me where he is?" She aims the staff at him. When did she take it out?
She doesn't remember taking it out. Is her body acting on its own?
He nervously let out a sigh. "The third tower, the one with the tree. Middle floor. Be careful, he's dangerous."
She turned around and ran out of the hall. Skyler is not dangerous. He is a good person. He fought hard to be free. She won't allow her father to destroy his freedom. He will no longer be shackled.
As she appeared at the third tower, she saw Xavier going inside. He must be searching for Skyler as well. She watched him start to sizzle. Why is he sizzling?
That's not normal. Only evil would sizzle like a piece of bacon. She follows him, trying to be sneaking, hiding behind some pillars. Xavier caught on pretty quickly and chuckled.
"Come out, little sister."
Claire stepped out, gazing at his sizzling skin. He was burning, yet he wasn't running away. Claire could see the pain it was causing him. "Why aren't you leaving? Why are you sizzling? The holy light only burns evil."
