   Chapter 5

The next day, for the first time ever I wake up dreading to go to school. I slowly get out of bed and drag myself into my bathroom. There I have a shower and dry my hair.

Next I get dressed into my regular attire of jeans, a simple athletic t-shirt and my worn out white converses. I let my hair down again, since I am too lazy to do anything with it.

Lastly I grab my bag, full of my supplies I will need throughout the day. My homework, phone and lunch money. I walk into Lily's room to find her already dressed for the day. She immediately notices me walk in.

"Good morning Lily, what do you want for breakfast?" I ask her. She will probably pick pancakes. Those are her favourite, just like me.

"Good morning Jess! Can I have pancakes please?" She asks. I reply with a yep. I then head down stairs to make our breakfast.

Lily comes downstairs about five minutes later, and I help her pack her lunch for school.

When the pancakes are ready I put them on to separate plates. I put syrup on Lily's, making it in the shape of a heart. I then just drown mine in syrup. Yummy. After eating breakfast, I brushed my teeth and helped Lily get ready.

We then headed out the door. I look into Spencer's yard, since I just recently found out he was my neighbour. I see him walking out to a motorcycle. Bad boy rides a motorcycle, how freaking cliche.

He notices me and Lily, and for some reason doesn't look surprised at all. He walks over to me and Lily, and we meet each other in the middle of our two yards.

Lily suddenly recognizes him as says. "Hey, I know you, your the guy that Jess beat at the park! Hi I'm Lily." She then reaches her arm out to shake Spencer's hand.

He chuckles and replies." Yep that's me, I'm Spencer." He says shaking her timy hand, he then turns to me. "Hi Jessa." He says cheekily, knowing how to get on my nerves.

I roll my eyes. " Hi Spencer." I turn to Lily. "Come on, we have to get going to school." I say, holding her hand. "Bye Spencer." I then add.

"Bye Jessa, I'll see you at school." He replies, walking back to his bike. I roll my eyes again. Can he please stop calling me that name.

After getting Lily into her car sit, I close the car door and turn to see if Spencer has left yet. Nope, he is staring at me for some odd reason. I make a confused face and hop into my car, then drive off heading to Lily's school.

I drop her off, making sure she sees her friends. I sigh. It's going to be a huge pain having to drive Lily and myself to and home from school each day. I start the car back up and drive to North Wood high.

I really don't want to go to school today, and that's say something. I've always loved school. The socializing, making friends, the sensation of getting a question right or getting a test back. Also all the clubs and teams you can join.

This year is sort of different though, I can't join every school team or club that I was in last year since I have to watch Lily before and after school. I could hire a babysitter, but then that's where all our money would go to, and without money, I would have to have a job. And if I have a job, then I couldn't really join teams or clubs after school anyways. So the whole thing really was pointless.

I would really love to tryout for the soccer team though. I probably won't even make it since I'm the newbie here.

I quickly spot Emma reading a book under a tree, when I get out of my car. I walk over to her and greet her. " Hey Emma, what book are you reading?" I exclaim.
