Chapter 26I know exactly what is next to this marvellous plan of mine. Step three: Get one of them to ask each other out.
Now I aware that this will be quite tricky since it's a Friday night and most likely none of us will see each other over the weekend. So that leaves one option..... Tonight. Since it's already extremely late in the night and Emma will probably won't to leave soon, I'll just have to make her stay longer.
"I ship ship ship it!" I cheer but at a reasonable volume since Parker and Spencer are still standing nearby.
She grins a lovesick grin that someday I wish I could wear. "It was anything and everything I could ever hoped for. I mean I was the one that dragged him to Ferris wheel, but he was the one that technically made the first move."
I can tell she wants to explain it more, but she knows I'm not one of those girls that begs her friends for details about their love life. Well I am a bit, seriously who isn't though?
I sneak a quick glance over at Spencer who is probably listening to Parker blabber on about it. Since I can clearly tell that in their soon-to-be relationship, Emma isn't the only lovesick puppy. I could tell that he liked her straight from the beginning, even though he was actually dating that Addison girl at the time. Luckily for these two it didn't quite work out though, but on the bright side Parker didn't seem too devastated at all. Probably because he was starting to liking Emma at the time.
I also see Parker look over at Emma and give her a loving smile in return she smiles and blush.
"You guys are adorable." I gush. Now is the perfect time to casually bring up something. "So are you two gonna start dating or what?"
She looks taken back. "Oh gosh wow, I mean I never really thought about that. Who am I kidding of course I have. I just got too busy look for that sign that I really like him, and now that I got that I'm going to have to start thinking about the possibilities. Like if him and I should start dating."
Better than I expected. I thought she was going to slap me or something. She may not look tough but boy she can pack a slap. "Well that's good. I personally really think that you guys should start dating." I emphasize really then wrap an arm around her shoulder. "Just imagine it. You two strolling down the school hallway. You cheering on Parker as his girlfriend at soccer games and getting all decked out in spirit wear. Don't even get be started on the huge sign you'll probably make for him. " She rolls her eyes but let's me continue. "In conclusion Parker and you are perfect for each other in every way and Pemma is my otp."
"Pemma?" She questions. "That's an odd name."
"Don't judge, it's a work in progress. I'm too busy being worried about my otp to fret about ship names."
"Anyways Jess." Emma signs. Oh no no no, I don't like the looks of this. "I don't think him and I should rush into anything yet. But if Parker does so happen to ask me out I would say yes. It's his decision."
I gasp as I drop my arm from her shoulder. "You make it sound like we are stuck in the olden days of the 1950s where a girl couldn't even wear a skirt with more than two poodles on it. And don't even think about asking out the guy or even making the first move. C'mon Emma, this is the twenty-first century, get the guy."
She looks at me with a hurt expression. "You think I'm too shy or not spontaneous enough to even ask Parker out. Actually I don't even know what you think I am but I sure do know that I am deciding this myself. I don't want to ask Parker out. I think he should decide and there isn't only one person in this strange sort of relationship."
