Piero. Twice in one day. Lovely.

"How've you been, Piero?"

"Wonderful, actually." Then abruptly, he shoved Vince over, causing me to be shoved also. Now eight people sat squashed in a not so large booth. Fan-fuckin-tastic.

Piero leaned onto his hand. "After leaving Lorenzo's place, I accidentally hit a guy with my limo. When I told the prick to get out of my way, I noticed who he was. The bastard owed me money. Unfortunately, he wasn't willing to pay up so...I had to," Piero dragged his finger across his neck.

"How is that wonderful?" I asked, disgusted.

"I'm a sadistic fuck." He naturally replied.

My eyes widened a little and I glanced down. A large hand rubbed up and down my thigh. Tristan's hand. I looked at him and he winked.

That's when things got crazy.

I guess Vince noticed what Tristan was doing because he reached over me and gripped his friend by the collar. Piero smiled curiously.

Vince punched Tristan square in the face and his leg shot out, kicking Kat under the table. She yelped in pain and Dante flipped out of his seat in shock. I slid down under the booth to get away when a pair of hands yanked me up and I was face to face with Jennifer.

Her hand shot around my throat and I was thrown onto the table. "You bitch, stealing my man." Her what?

I yanked at her dark hair and she screamed. Quickly, my eyes glanced over to Vince who was still beating the crap out of Tristan. Then to Piero who waved creepily at me.

Jennifer's words started to fade from existence and then the pain subsided completely. The whole club was quiet. I sat up from the table in confusion. Jennifer wore a dumbfounded expression. My eyes trailed down.

A dinner knife stuck out of her chest...and my hand was on the handle. I glanced back up.

A drop of blood rolled down her bottom lip. "Jennifer." I let go of the knife and stared at her.

What just happened? Why did I do that? How did I do that? She was choking me and I-it just happened.

"Eris." I heard lowly from behind. Jennifer dropped her head onto the table, unmoving. My eyes swelled with tears. "Eris." The voice bit out more sternly.

A strong hand gripped my arm and I was pulled over Tristan and out the booth. Before I knew it, my eyes were watching cars zip by. "I killed her."

Vince spun me around and stared into my eyes with his hazel ones. "Yes, but she was hurting you wasn't she? Self-defense."

"I didn't think the Mafia cared for that one." He chuckled.

"I'm just trying to make you feel better. I know you've never killed someone and it's a really...tough thing, to get over. Acknowledging it was self-defense might actually be better than thinking you just killed her in cold blood."

The club doors swung open. "Phew, Eris. That was pretty awkward. Why'd you two leave like that anyway. She died. Thought you'd at least pay your res-" Vince shoved Piero into the wall.

"Shut the fuck up, Piero! Not everyone wants to listen to your sadistic bullshit!" The two shared some kind of staring contest before Piero shoved Vince off of him and straightened his suit.

"Fuck you." Then he walked away.

Vince ran his hand through his hair. "Just-just wait here. DON'T LEAVE. I need to take care of this." With a sigh, Vince walked back into the club.

I turned and faced the open world. Just walk away. It's that easy. You could ask to borrow someone's phone and call home.

I lifted my foot and stepped down the sidewalk. Again. I took another step. Then another. I started taking more steps when someone called my name. Shit.

"Eris, what are you doing?" Kathleen called out. I spun around and gasped for air. What am I doing? What's going on?

Kat hurried over to my wheezing self and pulled my body into hers. "I killed someone. I actually murdered someone and I have no idea what to do." I cried.

"Shh, it's okay. She was a bïtch anyway." I pulled back.

"H-how could you say that?"

"Listen, Sweetie. When you join the Mafia, life changes. You slowly stop showing remorse for others. The pain you suffered your whole life gets bottled up. You become a different person. When I first killed someone, I cried...for a week. My parents made me do it."

I stared at her incredulously.

"I've got a fucked up family."

"Eris?!" A familiar voice shouted. I peeked over Kat's shoulder. Vince. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?"

Kathleen glanced between Vince and I and she shoved me into his arms. "Take care of her, Vince."

I stepped away from Vince and scratched my arm. "Do-do you want to go home?" He awkwardly asked.

"Do you mean my actual home?" I unemotionally replied.

"No." He walked over to his Lamborghini and opened the passenger seat. I reluctantly obliged. He jogged over to the other seat and got in. "I'm taking you to your new home."

"New home?" Vince pulled out and started down the road.

"Yeah, new home."

"It's nice and all but I don't want to live at Lorenzo's." Vince frowned.

"Who said we were staying there? I don't live with me father, Eris. I live by myself. Anita can move out if she wants but she's daddy's little girl."

I nodded my head a little uninterested. Too many other things were running around in my head. I killed someone. I'm going to hell...

We drove for about fifteen minutes before arriving at these backwoods. I studied my surroundings closely.

"Another cabin?"

"I like to stay away from civilization." We pulled up to the cabin which was twice the size of the other.

I slowly got out and observed the architecture. Beautiful.

"Come on." He started towards the front door. After unlocking it, we stepped in. It wasn't as elegant as Lorenzo's but it was still nice.

Vince jogged up the stairs and I slowly followed. Once at the top, we walked down the narrow hallway into a room.

"This will be your room until you feel comfortable enough to start sharing a room with me. I'll be just down the hall." He explained as I grazed my hand across the queen sized bed.

With a smile, I turned around. Slowly, I stalked towards Vince making sure to keep eye contact. Then I stood up on my toes and...

And kneed him in the jewels.

Vince fell to his knees, hands holding his most prized possession. I bent down and whispered in his ear, "I never got to thank you for kidnapping me."
