I could here a man shouting orders outside of B- wing. Mellisa continued to hold me while I cryed. Why does our life have to be like this? Why us????
Out in the hallway you could here the girls crying, and shreiking with joy. I looked up, my cheeks stained with tears. In the doorway stood two police officers!
Me and Mellisa ran to them, wrapping our arms around them.
"T- thank you so much!" I cried into the mans stomach. Mellisa couldn't utter a word, she just sobbed loudly.
"It's OK its all OK." Reassured the police officer.
I turned around and looked at the lost expression on Jeralds face. He gave me a forced smile and waved goodbye.
"Goodbye............ Jerald." I sniffled.
A third cop came in and dragged Jerald away. The two cops picked me and Mellisa up. Carrying us through the crowd of tears of joy.
