Melissa and I sat in the back of the room, holding each other. She wouldn't stop crying and my clothes were now soaked in tear stains.

A latch on our door opened and a plate along with two bowls were put on the floor. I sighed and patted Melissa on the head before getting up and walking over to it.

On the plate were some fruits and vegetables. In the first bowl was a red liquid in the second one was water. I tasted to red liquid. It was certainly red wine. I grabbed the plate and water bowl, putting it in front of Melissa.

"You must be exhausted Melissa. You need to eat then rest." I picked up a piece of fruit and handed it to her. She weakly smiled and took it.

We enjoyed the fresh fruit and water. I drink a bit of the wine but I didn't want to push it. After all I was only fourteen. But then again in a world like this, I guess age doesn't matter.
