Chapter Twenty-Four: The Search Begins

It had been a day or two since Rogue had been taken, and no one had gone on missions. Toby, John, Kaitlyn, and Sarah had been in the infirmary, but Sarah was the only one who was still there. Her back was fractured in two places, along with her left arm. She hadn't woken up, which was causing Slendy, Dollhouse, Herobrine, Kaitlyn, Ash, Masky, Hoodie, and Toby to worry.

Candy Cane and Candy Pop had also joined the Mansion, not long after the small battle, along with someone very close to Dollhouse. It was Mannequin, Dollhouse's brother.

Currently, the Proxies were frantically talking back and forth in the Proxy Room. Sarah's seat was left open.

"What do you think about the new recruits? Candy Cane and Candy Pop, I mean." Tim asked, his mask resting on the table. "I don't trust them."

Ash rolled his eyes, "You don't trust a lot of people, Timothy."

"That is true, but I have faith in my Proxy Partners. Yes, that includes you, Toby." Tim said, rolling his eyes as Toby clapped with, a rather short-lived, joy, before sitting back down.

"Hello~!!!" Said a high-pitched voice. Tim put his mask back on, and, while Brian hid his face, whirled around in his chair, "What are you doing here?? This is a room for Proxies of the Slender Family ONLY. You can't be here!!" Tim got up, grabbing his pipe, "Get out. Don't make me tell you again." 

 Candy Cane put on an innocent face, "Why were you talking about me and my brother?" She began playing with her hair all cutesy like, "Besides, I can be in here if I want!" 

 A voice scowled from behind Candy Cane, "No, actually, you can't. Get out of here, you bitch. No one back talks Tim but me, got it?" It was Sarah. Shocker there. 

 Candy Cane pouted, "Oh fuck you, you whore!!" Sarah's eye twitched, "I've been called worse. Often by my ex and his little play toy. But they're both dead now..." Sarah said the last part while laughing like a female Kira. 

 Candy Cane scowled, "Herobrine doesn't deserve a bitch like you."

 "You're so right, yet so wrong," Sarah said, her words full of sarcasm and venom, "Now get out before I start counting."

 "Oh, am I a child now??" Candy Cane asked, her voice starting to get on everyone's nerves. 

 "One," Sarah said. "Two... Three..." 

 Candy Cane's eyes widened, "Wha-What?? Stop that!! You're being creepy as fuck!!" 

 "...Four....Five..."

 "JUST GET OUT ALREADY!!!!!" Toby yelled, getting ready to throw a hatchet at Candy Cane. Candy Cane whimpered, before booking out of the room. 

 "Thanks, Tobster," Sarah said, giving Toby a fist-bump. 

 "A-Anytime... S-She was an-annoying as h-hell..." Toby said, flashing Sarah a goofy grin. 

 Sarah nodded, taking her seat, "Alright, what did I miss?" 

 Tim and Brian nodded, and began briefing their friend in on what had occurred. 

~~~TimeSkip, 5 days, Tim's POV~~~ 

 I was beginning to worry. We hadn't had any luck finding Zalgo's Lair. We couldn't even find the portal! The damned devil must have moved it. I was walking around the woods by myself; Brian had gone back to the Mansion to check in with the boss. Looking around, I sensed something. It was a female. I was too far away to tell whether or not if she was from the Mansion or one of Zalgo's spies.

 As I got closer, I sensed that it was Sarah. And she was crying. I felt my instincts take over, causing me to Slender Walk over to her. She was sitting in a tree, knees to her chest, crying her heart out. 

 I walked to the base of the tree, and knocked on it, "Hey, Sarah? You okay up there?" Sarah noticed me, blushed, and wiped the tears from her eyes.

 She jumped down, landing on her feet, "Y-Yes, Masky... I-I'm fine..." Something was wrong. Sarah never called my Masky, she always called me Tim, or Timothy when she wanted to piss me off. 

 "No you're not," I said. I took off my mask, and made her look at me, "You look like shit. C'mon, we're heading back. You can tell me what happened, if you'd like. You don't have to."

 Sarah laughed half-heartedly, "Yeah..." She took a deep breath, "Well, it's just that..." She began to shake a little bit, "That b-bastard!!!" Sarah stopped, "HE CHEATED ON ME WITH THAT FUCKING BITCH, CANDY CANE!!!" She punched a hole in one of the nearby trees, retrieving a bloody fist, "He's just saying, "We'll be together forever, babe, I promise!" "After this is all over, we'll get married, babe. I promise." And then he's saying, "Oh no, I love you, C.C., only you, my love!!!" GRRR!!! What's with men being unfaithful to me!?!?!? Am I destined to be forever alone?!?!? EVEN MY FATHER HAS SOMEONE!!!! AND HE'S THE FUCKING SLENDERMAN!!!!"

 I grabbed Sarah by the shoulders, and held her close to me, "I'll kill him. No one hurts my Proxy Partners... He'll fucking pay..." I can't believe Hero would do that to Sarah!! I'll go have a little talk to him. I actually saw Sarah as a sister, maybe even as a daughter. I'm very protective of her.

 Sarah nodded against my shoulder, "That would be fantastic, Tim. Thank you!" 

 I nodded, letting go and putting my mask back on, "Oh, and Sarah?" 

 Sarah nodded, "Yeah, Tim?" 

 "Tell no one I hugged you. Got it?" I said, completely serious. 

 Sarah laughed, "Of course, Tim. I wouldn't imagine it." Even though she didn't sound like it, I knew she meant it. 

 I nodded, "Well, let's get going." Sarah nodded, and followed me back to the Mansion.
