Isaac's POV:
He was walking to school when his best friend Cassandra texted him.
Hey Isaac! We haven't talked in awhile. Call me when you get the chance!
He hadn't been avoiding her but it was hard being so far away from his best friend.
She and her family had recently moved out of the city. They moved to a small town that was several hours away because her parents wanted her and her sister to experience the country life that they grew up with.
She didn't seem to mind very much but he missed her. She was the only person he could really talk to. He talked to his friend Luke sometimes. He never really understood though.
Isaac was an orphan and he lived with his aunt and uncle. They were not very nice to say the least. In fact he avoided them as often as he could. They never wanted him. They were stuck with him.
He texted Cassandra back:
Sorry. Just busy with school and stuff. I promise to talk after school.
She replied:
Okay:) Don't forget!
He smiled down at his phone. She was always so happy, so full of life. That was why she was his best friend. She could always bring a smile to his face.
He texted her back:
I won't:)
Isaac tucked his phone into the pocket of his hoodie and continued walking. He had made it all the way to his school already. The bell rang just as he made it to the front door.
Another long day at school. A place that now seemed empty. He was the only one of his friends left at the school. He was all alone in the big building full of people. People that didn't even know his name.
