I watched and listened to the forest. I loved the forest. I often ran away, into the forest, when he stress of being first in line for the kingdom became too high.

My reddish brown hair, danced in the wind, and I saw a cute little leopard frog, about to be eaten by a bird. I scooped him up. "You're lucky I picked you up." I whispered to the terrified little creature. I hopped out of the tree and let him go onto the forest floor.

I had dark brown eyes, and I was considered very handsome back in the kingdom. Not that I believed it. They just said those things because I was a prince. An odd forest loving prince.

Yes. I heard the rumors. I knew that nowadays everyone thought I was escaping into the forest to perform dark magyk . Which was insane. What would I do with dark magyk? I could understand if the rumors were about my brothers using dark magyk to kill me off and inherit the throne, but me? No way. And my brothers would never do that anyway.

I wandered through the forest. Soon I came to a little house. Who in their right mind, other than me, would live way out here? Speaking of living here... Perhaps I could convince father to let me build a summer home here...

I knocked, hoping that they'd give me food. I was always hungry, like my father, yet unlike him somehow, I wasn't fat. An old woman opened the door. "Hello mam. I was traveling through the woods and happened upon your dwelling. May I come in?"

The woman stepped aside. "Good manners to a peasant for a prince. What do you want? Food? A potion?" I looked at her. "You're a witch?"

"Yes dear." The disguise covering the walls disappeared, and I saw the lines of jars covering the walls. There was everything from eyeballs, to pickles. And frogs. Lots of live frogs. I had always had a soft spot for frogs.

"I'll have food please. The second she turned around, I "accidentally" bumped into the jars of frogs, freeing them all. The witch turned around. "Fool!" She screamed. "What have you done?! I needed their tongues!"

"Sorry mam," I said, prepared to pour on the princely charm that always got me out of trouble. "I truly-" I stopped. "What are you doing?" She had grabbed one of the escaping frogs and pulled out it's heart. I tried to run but it was too late. she crushed the heart, and blew the dust it made at me.

I was caught in the swarm of frogs. "I was putting them out of their misery! let's see how much you like being a frog!" I heard her scream, as she opened the door and I was swept outside.

For awhile I hopped around, enjoying being my favorite animal. I knew it couldn't last forever, and I was right. Although the crocodiles left me alone, I kept eating flys. They were nasty. They tasted like the cow, and horse dung that they laid their eggs in.

Suddenly the witch popped out of the bushes, and grabbed me. "Stop it! You don't even have teeth!" She said, annoyed, as I tried to bite her. "You want to know how to break the curse, or not?" I nodded.

"Either you get a princess to kiss you, or you can help me." There's no way I could get a princess to kiss me in this form. "What do you want me to do?" I want you to replace all fifty of the frogs you cost me.

"Never!" I hopped frantically away before she could catch me. I would have to get a princess to find me. I had heared the was an odd princess who liked the woods in the neighboring kingdom. I realized that I would have to marry her if I kissed her... She liked the woods, so I was fine with that I guessed. I would have to find her first though.

I hopped towards her kingdom, eventually finding the area of the huge woods that was near her castle. I waited. And waited. And waited. She finally came out, three days later.

"Hello, Princess!" She looked around, herself confused. "Down here. I'm a frog." "Wow, a talking frog?" She scooped me up. "I wasn't always a frog though, you see. I happen to be prince Dorian, of the western kingdom." I told her my story.

"I am princess Winifred," she said when I was done, "And I think we're meant for each other. She pulled me towards her face, and was about to kiss me, when a female frog jumped out of the bushes, right in between us.

"Nooooooooooo!" She screamed. "I won't let you!" I repeated this for Winifred's sake. "I'm one of the frogs you freed, and I'm in love with you!"
I repeated this too.

She was the most beautiful frog I had ever seen, beating all human girls too. "Me too." I kissed her instead. We both turned human, knocking a crying Winifred to the ground.

"I'm sorry, Winifred." I said. "No, I understand. True love at first sight. I've learned about it my whole life." She looked... empty. I had really hurt her, but human, the frog was just as beautiful.

The frog girl had brown hair, with green tips, perfect heart shaped lips, a perfect figure, and large green eyes. When she transformed she had transformed into a shimmery green dress, with a water lily in her hair. She was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen.

"I don't understand-" "I'm the frog princess, Anne." She interrupted. "Will you marry me, Anne?" "Oh yes, Prince Phibian, of course!!"

We would have lived happily ever after, if we hadn't had our honey moon at Yosemite. We went swimming, in mirror lake, but the second we touched the surface, we were sucked in. Where were we? Some kind of mirror realm? And why was she a frog again!
