~This story might be a little different than the others. I hope you still like it! ~
We took turns on each other's dresses. I was good at ruffles and complicated stitches, but for some reason I couldn't seem to do simple ones. Anastasia was really really good at the cross stitch and she did well on other simple things. Soon we had two of the most beautiful dresses either of us had ever seen. Eventually we went to bed at 12:00.
The next morning I did go to school. After school I worked on my chores, but all I had to do was polish the silverware. While I was polishing a knife I thought I saw the woman again. The look in her eyes seemed to say, you shouldn't have to do this and her smile was sympathetic. After I had wandered the house to see if there were anymore chores to do, I went to my room and got out my mom's jewelry box. After a few moments thought I decided to share the jewelry with Anastasia. I ran upstairs to help with the jewelry. The ball was tonight.
We chose a tiara with rose quarts all over it for me. For my necklace and bracelets I found some with mixtures of rose quartz and sapphires. For Ana we chose an amethyst encrusted silver tiara. For her necklaces and bracelets we got her an amethyst pendant and a silver bracelet encrusted with amethysts. We put each other's hair in elaborate buns.We also put in some earrings with the right colors.
By the time we were done it was time to go. "Cinderella I guess we'll be leaving without you! Come on Anastasia!" Drizzella screeched up the stairs. Drizzella gawked as we walked down the stairs. But she was quick to recover. As soon as we were in the hallway she attacked.
"That tiara can't be yours!" She started to pull it off my head when Ana jumped in front of me and said, "Wait it it is hers! It was her mother's!"
Drizzella was unfazed."So!" She shoved me against the wall and started to shred. "Aren't these from Anastaisia's room?" "Yes but I gave them to her!" Ana cried as she took my slippers and tore up the bottom layer of my gown.
"There's no way this necklace, oh and bracelets belong to you Cinderella!" she said throwing them to the floor.
Now Ana was up and running again. Oh my god did she just slap Drizzella? Oh, now she's on the floor again. But now she gets up faster. "If Ella doesn't go I don't go!" she cried. Drizzella took it as an invitation to rip up her gown too. "Drizzella that's enough!" Stepmother said. She dragged a wailing Drizzella out to the car.
I ran to the apartment complex's garden and cried silently into the old well. I didn't know where Ana was. Did it matter? Oh my god! An old woman was rising from the well. An old woman with a tail?
"Oh don't cry dear." said the woman. She was the woman from the bubbles and the knife! "Who are you?" "I'm your fay godmother." "Are you a mermaid?" "Yes." She said, elongating the E, and looking slightly annoyed.
"Now stop crying and go get me a pumpkin." "We don't have any pumpkins." I stated. "Well what do you have?" she asked. "The only fruit we have growing in the garden is strawberries."
"Perfect! Go get me a strawberry sweetie." "Okay?" I asked, walking towards the strawberry patch. "Sweetie could you get me five?" She called after me. I grabbed five strawberries and started to walk back to the well where the old mermaid was floating. "Hurry up dear, you're late you know."
Late? I jogged over to the well.
"Here you go." I said handing her the strawberries. "Thank you. Now what were the magyk words? Bippity Bopppity Boo!" Nothing happened.
"Is it abracadabra?" I asked timidly.
"Maybe that's it!" she cried. "Abracadabra!" she shouted pointing her wand at the strawberries.Again, nothing happened. What was this mermaid doing? "Do you say anything? Drizzella and Ana don't."
Ana! I had totally forgotten about her! "Ana! Ana! Oh my god, Ana there's a mermaid in the well!" Ana came rushing into the garden, her face just as tear stained as mine probably was."Oh my god Ella your right!" Ana cried. "And not just about one thing. I'm pretty sure I don't say anything to do magyk." The mermaid said. "Of course not! The only reason you need a wand is because you're a mermaid! Mermaids don't have any magyk!" Ana cried.
Ana probably had to study magykal creatures because she was magyk. My fay godmother pointed her wand at the strawberries and silver magyk flew out. As soon as the magyk touched the strawberries, one strawberry turned into a giant strawberry shaped strawberry colored car. The four other strawberries turned round and became the wheels. Then she spotted Fluffy and changed him into a chauffeur.
"Get in lady's." "But what about our dresses?" we cried. "Your dresses look fine. Now get in." "But-" "No buts, just get in. Look at your dresses! You can't go to the ball in that! What made you think you could?" "You-but-I-dress- never mind." Ana said.
My fay godmother splashed some water in our faces to wash off the tear stains. Then she started on Ana's dress. "Do you want the same one you had, repaired, or a new one?" she asked.
"Same one of course!" she cried. The mermaid tapped the shreds of her dress and they turned back into the beautiful gown they once were. "Now, Ella-" "Same!" I said interrupting her. She tapped my shreds and they too changed back into their former glory. Everything was the same except for the shoes. They were beautiful stained glass slippers almost the same color as rose quartz.
"There you go lady's. Have a happy birthday Ella!" she said. "Oh, and don't forget the spell ends at midnight." "Get in now, but don't be late or everyone will know who you are and all will be lost." she said cheerily, helping us into the car.
