I sat under the shade of the apple tree, in the garden. I was hiding from my stepmother. She never came out here. And she forgets me, until she sees me, so I should be fine until I come in for food.

I sang, to the little bird that landed on my finger. This attracted unwanted attention, as well as more birds. My black hair swirling and waving in the wind.

Snow white skin, lips red as blood, Hair as black as coal. These were my blessing fay's gifts. Rosy cheeked from the cold, I walk to the wishing well, and hoped it didn't require coins.

"Hello. What is your name fair slave maiden. I screamed, and ran into the castle. I looked at him from my balcony. "I didn't mean to startle you slave maiden-" The prince started to say.

"One I'm not a slave, I'm a princess! Two, I don't care, you stalker! Three, I know what you're trying to do, and I don't date princes! They're all jerks!"

I sent the prince running to his mommy. I was normally kind and shy, but would be love interests, angered me. I tried love once. It didn't work. Since then, I've noticed every little fault, when it came to princes.

I walked out of my room, to find my stepmother waiting for me. Something was very wrong with her. Was she trying to smile?

I tried walking past her, but she grabbed my wrist. "My darling Snow, I'm sorry I haven't yet recognized you as my daughter. Please, go pick some flowers with my huntsman, while I make a surprise for you."

I go into the woods, happy that my dream since my father died, had finally come true. As I turned around after picking up the last flower for my bouquet, I saw the huntsman standing over me with a knife. I screamed.

"Run! Run away! I don't want to kill you!" So I ran. I ran like the wind. I ran through the forest, never resting.

Finally I reach a little house. And by little I mean tiny. I knocked, then walked in. What a mess. I cleaned up the junk, started dinner, and went to bed, filling up three of the seven tiny beds.

I woke up to the sound of arguing. There were seven angry dwarfs in here! I sat up. "Hello. I'm very sorry for intruding upon your home."

"We are deciding weather or not to keep you here. We're not upset about that." One said, with a smile. "Well I am!" Another said, frowning. "Your always upset!" Says yet another, who was avoiding looking me in the eyes. One nodded, without saying anything.

"Oh please don't make me leave! My stepmother, the queen-"  "Oh dear," the first one said, smile gone. "I thought you were upon troubled times, but this? Say no more, you stay." The frowny one nodded. "Anything to anger the queen." he said. "Oh thank you!"

"I'll cook, and clean your house. That reminds me, I have some food on the stove." We went downstairs, and ate the dinner I had made.

For the next two days, I cleaned and  sewed a new dress for myself, cooked, and cleaned the house. I learned that the dwarfs' names were Dopey, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sneezy, Doc, and Sleepy.

On the third day, an old woman came to the house. She knocked. I opened the door, and she said, "Hello, would you like to buy an apple?" "I'm sorry. I don't have any money." I lied. Although it was true, I just didn't like apples. "An apple a day creeps the leachers away. I'll give you one for free. You look like you could use some TLC."

It was true. My stepmother could starve me for three days, before giving me any food. "I'm sorry, I don't like apples." "But they're healthy!"

Something was wrong. I started to close the door, but she stuck her foot in. "Have an apple please.". "I told you, I don't like-" she shoved the apple into my open mouth, and I involuntarily took a bite.

I choked on the bite, and fell to the ground. The last thing I remembered, was the pain of my head hitting the hardwood floor. Everything went black.

I woke up to the feel of a pair of soft lips on mine. I sat up hard, and bonked our heads together. "Oww!" The prince cried. "Get away from me! How dare you take advantage of someone who's out cold!-" "But you were dead!" The prince interrupted.

"Well why would you care about a dead girl! Get out of my sight!" I sent yet another prince running for his mommy. I watched in satisfaction, as the dwarfs looked on in surprise.

"I'm sorry. It's just, princes only care about themselves, and they're my biggest pet peeve." I said. "It's okay." Doc replied. "I'm actually proud of you for that one." Grumpy said. We all laughed. Typical Grumpy.

The next week, everything was fine. But the following Monday, after the disaster, the queen and her huntsman came for me. Dopey was home. It was his turn to make sure no one hurt me again. Honestly, I didn't think he'd be of much help.

The huntsman kicked the door down. "My dear beloved daughter. I've finally come for you." My stepmother said, smiling wickedly.

The huntsman grabbed me, and covered my mouth, then got Dopey for good measure. "No use covering his mouth. Dopey can't talk.

As hunter dragged us home, to the castle, he whispered in my ear, "I'm sorry Snow. I truly am. I'll try to help you escape. I've never had the courage to ask before, but will you go out with me when this is all over?" I gave a slight nod. I had had a crush on the huntsman forever. This was a dream come true.

We arrived at the castle. He dragged us to my stepmother's room. I'd never been in there before. It had a beautiful mirror taking up the whole wall.

"Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all. She's got one chance before the spell, and that chance is if it is of me the mirror will tell." The mirror was crying as it said, "You know I cannot tell a lie! If I could it's you, price of pie! But no, the fairest is Snow White."

My stepmother scowled. "Well not anymore!" she started to cast a spell, as the huntsman started to back me away, towards the door.

"From now on this cursed mirror shall lead to the cursed mirror realm! And shall travel across the land, and between time, searching for all those fairest, other than, me and compelling them to touch it's surface, drawing them in, with their companions!" She screamed.

My eyes turned glassy, and I strained, trying to get to the mirror. Mirror! Mirror! Mirror, Was all I thought, all I was. "You can let her go now." I faintly heard my stepmother say.

The huntsman had to let me go, for fear of hurting me if he didn't. I dived headfirst into the mirror, Dopey following, trying to save me. As soon as I was inside, I realized where I was. "Oh no." I said. Dopey nodded in agreement.
