Emma walked over to Killian. She raised her hand up and smacked him on his head.
"You idiot! This is what we get for what you did!" Emma said.
"I didn't bloody think that he would come into our house!" Killian yelled.
"You actually sound surprised. I was expecting something far worse!" Emma yelled back.
"What are we going to do?"
"Obviously not confront him again! Why? Why did you have to do it?"
"I don't have to explain myself to you Emma!"
Emma pointed to the door. "Get out."
Killian shrugged and walked out of the bedroom. Emma furrowed her eyebrows. She ran out after him.
"Don't walk away from me!" She said.
"That's what you wanted right? For me to get out." He said picking up his keys.
"Since when do you actually listen to me? Whenever I say to get out, I don't mean it."
Killian rolled his eyes. He also gave a sarcastic laugh. "Women and their language. I will never understand it."
"Guys and their laziness." Emma said mocking him.
"At least I try to protect you. What did you do when you found out that you were being stalked? Did you tell me? No you didn't. You hid it from me!"
"I was trying to protect you. You read the notes. You saw how he wanted to kill you. It's all because of me!" Emma was at the brink of tears. "I can't believe that you are even yelling at me because of what I did! I did it for you you ungrateful ass!"
Killian got pissed. He shoved her up against the wall and pinned her there with his waist. "I am not ungrateful."
Emma shut her eyes trying to push back the tears. She opened them and saw anger in his eyes. The blue orbs that she got lost in were clouded in a dark mist. Killian added pressure to his waist and pushed harder onto her. She whimpered in pain, and it wasn't until then that the dark mist went away. A softer expression came into his face. He immediately released her and she looked up at him. Nothing but fear was on her face. Killian walked out of the apartment, and Emma didn't call him back. She stood there leaning against the wall replaying what just happened between them. When she was done reliving the moment, she grabbed her phone and called him.
No answer.
She tried again.
She was being sent to voicemail now.
She tried for a third time before he finally picked up.
"Where did you go? I didn't mean it when I said that I wanted you to leave. Come home. Come back to me. Please. I love you Killian Jones. No matter what you've done, I will always love you." Emma said with tears in her eyes.
"What I did was inexcusable. I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry Swan." Killian said. Emma could tell that there were tears in his eyes.
"Come home." Tears rolled off her cheeks. "Please."
The call ended and she cried even harder. She cried for hours until the tears finally stopped, and she had a headache. She called Aurora and told her what happened between the two of them, and told her that they couldn't make it to dinner. Emma went into the bedroom and cleaned it up. When she was done, it looked normal again except for the phrase written on the wall. She changed into her pajamas and laid down in the bed. She grabbed Killian's pillow and held it close to her. She could smell his cologne on it, which brought more tears to her eyes.
"Come home." She whispered through the tears and sobs. "I need you."
Killian drove around town for hours. He felt guilty for leaving Emma and hanging up on her, but he needed to blow off some steam. At around 9:00, he noticed that his gas tank was low. After filling the car up with gas, he made his way back home. Questions fluttered through his mind.
How would she react? What state was she in? Was she waiting for him to come back? Had she lost hope of him returning?
He was so lost in his mind that he didn't realize that he was already at his front door. Pulling out the key from his pocket, he jammed it into the lock and twisted it. The faint clicking seemed so loud that it was going to burst his eardrums. He made his way through the dark and into the bedroom where he heard sobs. He opened the door and saw Emma on her side clutching something. Once his eyes got used to the darkness, he made out that it was a pillow. His pillow.
"Emma? Are you awake?" He whispered.
No reply.
Killian walked over to Emma and laid down. He stroked her hair and kissed her temples. Her cheeks were wet and stained and soaked with tears.
"I thought you weren't coming back." She said coldly.
"Of course I would come back. I really am sorry about how I acted. I shouldn't have. Will you forgive me love?"
Emma turned over. "Please don't leave again." She said throwing herself onto him.
"I am so sorry. For hurting you and for leaving. I just needed to clear my head. Think things through."
Emma got off of him and gave him his pillow. "What do you mean, think things through?"
"I had to think about us. Our relationship."
More tears started to put from her eyes. "You're breaking up with me, aren't you?"
"What? No. No I'm not. I had to think about why I acted upon my emotions. I hardly do that. I had to think about why I hurt you."
"Because I was being a bitch. You do so much for me. I don't know why I yelled. I don't know why I hit you. I don't know why I called you lazy, but it wasn't right. You had every right."
Killian took her hands into his. "No I didn't. The day started out so calm. How did it end up like this?"
"Neal. It's his fault. He is the poison in our relationship."
"Then let's go get him."
"We don't even know where he is."
"I hate to tell you this, but you need to go back to your memories."
"Not tonight. Tomorrow. After school."
Killian nodded and laid down. Emma pushed herself into his arms and he held her tight. He twirled her hair around his fingers. He soon heard her soft snores, before drifting off to sleep himself.
