Emma looked at Neal. "No you're not. If you do, well, your effort would be for nothing. You don't want that, do you?"

Neal lowered the gun and stormed out of the room. Emma laid down on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. She desperately wished that she could talk to Killian. She knew that he knew she loved her, but she wanted to keep telling him that. To never stop. To tell him how sorry she was.

Killian was in Maine. He was talking with state police officers and they were doing everything they could to try to find Emma. He got out of school so he would have more time to look. Regina, Ruby, Victor, and Robin stayed in school, but made sure they participated in all of the searches. They weren't even sure if Emma was even in Maine, but Neal wouldn't risk moving her around too much.

"Killian, we are going out for another search. You coming?" Regina asked.

"Aye, be right there." Killian said sadly. He had fallen into a state of depression without Emma there with him. He barely slept, barely ate. It didn't feel right to him to do anything he normally did without her by his side. He put his and her phone in his pocket and went outside. The cold air bit his nose as he trudged through the snow.

"Emma!" He yelled. He looked around. No movement. No sound. "Swan! If you're out there, say something, please!"

Emma heard something. She heard her name. 'It's probably Will and Neal fighting.' Then she heard it. Her nickname. The only person who called her that, was Killian. She pounded on the wall.

"Killian! Help me, please!" She yelled.

Footsteps were heard and her door opened. Neal was standing there with Will next to him. "Emma, it is really hard to focus with all of your yelling. Shut the hell up!" Neal said.

"I wouldn't waste your breath anyway, sweetheart. They can't hear you. No one is going to find you." Will said.

"I will get out of here." Emma said sitting back down on the mattress.

"What makes you so sure of that?" Neal asked crossing his arms over his chest.

"I have hope, and hope is a very powerful thing."

Neal and Will started laughing. "That's about as stupid as believing in true love or fate or destiny. Welcome to the real world Emma! There is no such thing as happy endings." Neal said.

"I disagree. I was in my happy ending before you came and took me away from him."

"Please, people can't be another person's happy ending."

"Whatever you say."

Neal and Will burst into laughter then exited the room. Emma raised her knees to her chest. She lied. She didn't have hope. She had fear. She was going to live without Killian for the rest of her life. Never get the chance to be held anymore. She was never going to feel safe as long as she was apart from him.

Killian searched long after it had gotten dark. His fingers and toes were numb. He went back to his room at Granny's and got a hot chocolate with cinnamon to warm himself up. He finished his hot chocolate and went up to his room. He laid down on the bed and held her red leather jacket to his chest.

"I will find you, Emma. I will always find you." He whispered before falling into a light sleep.

Emma cried herself to sleep. She held her pillow and wished that Killian was there to wipe her tears away and tell her that everything was okay. She fell into a light sleep as well.

That night, she woke up on Captain Hook's pirate ship. She looked around and Hook was at the helm. She walked up to him but his eyes were distant. He appeared to be lost in thought.

"Hook?" Emma asked.

"Emma." He said in monotone.

She looked around. They were in the middle of the ocean. "Where are you going?"

He looked at her. His blue eyes reminding her of Killian's brought tears to her eyes. She shut them tight and turned away.

"Lass, are you alright?" Hook asked.

Emma turned back to him and shook her head. "I lost him."

"Who?"

"K-Killian. My boyfriend."

"How? Maybe you can get him back."

"No, I can't. Neal showed up again. He took me away from my home. I'm somewhere in Maine. I want to go home."

Hook left the wheel and wrapped his arms around her back. She melted into the hug because it reminded her of Killian's hugs.

"I lost her too. I lost my princess." He said.

"I'm sorry." Emma said pulling away.

"But I'm going to get her back. Nobody can keep me away from her. Maybe you should do the same."

"There is no way to get out. I know he's looking for me, but I can't get to him."

Hook took his flask out of his pocket and took a swig of the rum inside. "My princess went on and on about hope. Maybe that's what you need."

Emma shook her head. "I don't have hope. Not anymore."

"You just need someone to help you believe again."

"And who is going to help me do that? You?"

"I can certainly try."

Emma sat straight up and looked around. She was in the room again. Away from Hook and the Jolly Roger. She needed hope. She was going to get out of there. Even if she had to die trying.

Okay, here's the deal. I'm ending this soon, but for me to do that, there is a HUGE time jump. The next chapter might be the last, but I think I've said before that I'm making this into a trilogy.
