Happy Heartbreak Day! Or Once Day!
Don't forget to watch it live!
I THINK that it is going to start 15 minutes LATER than normal tonight for EST and CST viewers. I'M NOT ENTIRELY SURE!!!
I don't want anyone to miss it.
Killian carried Emma into the hospital and she was taken into an exam room right away. He sat next to her while Emma kept shifting uncomfortably. She would move her head from one side to the other or bring her hands up to touch her head with her hands in attempts to subside the dull aching pain. Finally the curtain pulled open and a man in a white lab coat came in with a clipboard in his hand.
"Emma Swan, is that correct?" He asked.
"Aye, that's right." Killian answered for her.
"Good. I went into three rooms prior to this looking for an Emma Swan." He said. Killian glared at him. "All business today? Alright. I am doctor Hart." He flipped through the pages on the clipboard. "I was told that you fell and hit your head and that we are testing for a concussion."
"Well more of pushed." Killian said.
"By you?" Dr. Hart asked.
Emma swallowed and shut her eyes. "No. Some other guy did it. Now do something!"
He nodded and gave Emma some tests. Once he left, Killian gripped Emma's hand again.
"What do you want when we get home? Food? Bath? Sleep?" Killian asked.
Emma looked down. "Bath then sleep."
He kissed her cheek. "What ever you wish darling."
"Good. Can you dim the lights?"
"Sure." Killian flipped a switch and the light above Emma's hospital bed went out, making the room a little darker.
Dr. Hart came in with a small smile on his face. "Good news! Emma you don't have a concussion." He handed Killian a piece of paper. "Presciption for some pain medicine. We recommend her to take school or work off for the rest of the week. No sports activities or sexual activities for one month. If she bangs her head before her next doctor's appointment, she can injure her head more. Have her take it easy."
"Thanks." Killian said.
Doctor Hart nodded and left the room. Killian turned to Emma and she had her eyes fixated on the ceiling. He rubbed her forehead and she looked at him.
"Lets get you dressed love. Then we will go home and you can relax." He said quietly.
"I can't stay home. No doubt that Neal knows about this. He can't know that I am staying home alone for this week." Emma said nervously.
"We will think of something."
Emma tried to hold the tears back, but the more she tried, the more it hurt her head. Killian helped her sit up and helped her put her clothes on. She hated needing help. Just like when she got shot. She stood up but her knees trembled. She started to fall but Killian caught her.
"Do want to wait a minute?" He asked.
"No I want to get the fuck out of here." She said.
He nodded and picked her up bridal style. He carried her out to the car and drove home. He helped her out of the car and helped her walk towards the building.
"I feel like an old person who lost her cane and can't walk without it." Emma said leaning on Killian as he opened the door.
"I like to help Swan. I know that you hate attention and hate having to be dependent on people, but you aren't alone, so you are going to have to get used to it." Killian said with a laugh.
She took her weight off of him and tried to walk on her own, but found that it wasn't going to happen.
"Stupid dizziness." She whispered as she clung back into his arm.
"Easy Swan. You don't want to get too upset."
She nodded and they went to the elevator. "I love you." She said.
"I love you too."
Emma put her head on his arm and he gently laid a kiss on top of her head. The ding of the elevator bell made her flinch. Killian helped her to the door of their apartment and someone was standing there in front of the door.
"Killian my boy! What happened to Emma?" Mr. Jones said.
"Some guy attacked her." Killian said.
"Who? Who attacked my daughter in law?"
Emma giggled and Killian turned red with embarrassment. "You wouldn't know him. His name is Neal Cassidy."
Mr. Jones nodded. "I see. If he shows up here, please tell me, okay?"
"Yes dad." Killian said.
Mr. Jones left and Killian unlocked the door and helped Emma in. He led her to the bathroom and filled the tub up with water.
"I'm going to guess that you don't want any fancy salts, oils, or soaps." He said looking over at Emma.
"Right. Sounds and lights are enough. I don't want to add smells to the list." She said. Emma hopped off the sink counter and found herself less dizzy. She hugged Killian from behind while he was kneeling down. "Thanks for every thing today Killian. I really don't know what I would do without you."
"Its my pleasure Swan. As I said before, I love to help you. I'm your boyfriend and its my job to help and protect you."
Emma undressed and Killian sat down on the ground and looked at her.
"I'm sorry I didn't protect you today." Killian said.
"You did. Don't think that you didn't because you did. I'm glad you were there. I'm just glad nobody got shot." Emma said.
He nodded. She giggled and he looked up at her.
"Daughter in law to your dad. I like the sound of that." Emma said.
"What?" Killian asked in disbelief.
"When your dad called me his daughter in law. I like the sound of that. You don't?"
"I prefer Swan." He sat on his knees and kissed her lips sweetly. "Or you know, Mrs. Jones."
Emma smiled. "I'm really glad that the whole marriage and commitment thing doesn't scare you."
"I'm glad that it doesn't scare you either." He pulled away and his smile disappeared. "I have a confession to make Emma."
She sat up and looked at him. "What is it?"
"When I first saw you, I knew that we would be together. I easily saw you and I coming out of the hospital in the future carrying our little bundle or bundles of joy. I love you Emma. And if I am going to spend the rest of my life with someone if we decide to get married, I'm glad and hopeful that it will be with you."
He looked up at her and she had tears in her eyes.
"I do too."
