The next day on the set, Adam announced to the other coaches that Mary J. Blige would be his new adviser for his team. "The official word came today and I just finished an interview with Rolling Stone about it."

"Michael Buble is going to be joining my team," Blake added.

Christina smiled, "two very talented people. But I'm winning this season and even with new advisors, you guys will still loose."

Cee-Lo laughed, "and the claws come out! So Christina's keeping who she had last season and I haven't decided if I'm going to change it up."

Adam added, "I've always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige. It's going to be great having her on the show."

Carson asked, "Christina are you and Mary J. going to get along? All the tabloids are bringing up how she hates you."

Everyone looked at Christina, expecting a whole lot of drama. "She's the queen of soul, no one can mess with that. I respect her and admire her work. I think she's going to really help Adam a lot."

Blake did a double take, "who is this person sitting next to me and what did you do to Christina?"

Christina frowned at him, but ignored his comment. She looked over at Adam, waiting to see if he had a snide comment too.

"You know what I'd like to hear, Christina and Mary J. doing a battle on stage to show our contestants how it is done!" Adam said enthusiastically.

Cee-Lo snorted, "dream on, that'll never happen."

"Maybe a duet?" Blake asked.

"I'm game if she is," Christina said diplomatically.

The break was over and the auditions continued. After one of Christina's comments, Adam couldn't help being a cheeky little bastard.

He sent a text, 'the only Voice you need to hear in your ear is mine.'

She replied, 'getting a little jealous are we?'

'LMFAO,' was Adam's response.

This season, their more snide comments were sent via text, then verbal and on camera. But the difference was, that neither truly took offence. They were both very competitive and couldn't help teasing each other. The rest of the taping for that day, went smoothly.

As everyone was getting ready to leave, Carson came towards them. "The Voice just got nominated in the Outstanding Reality- Competition Program category."

"Nice," Christina said.

Cee-Lo asked, "Who are we up against?"

"The Amazing Race, Dancing With the Stars, Top Chef, So You Think You Can Dance and Project Runway." Carson ticked the other shows off on his fingers as he gave the list.

Blake said, "My wife loves to watch all of them except Amazing Race and Dancing With the Stars."

"That's tough competition for sure, especially since the other shows have a couple of seasons under their belts already." Adam looked at Carson.

"Well it's a huge honour and kind of humbling," Carson said.

"Considering our band has to learn all kinds of 90 second songs every season, I think it's time this show got recognized. We have a cool format and it's a great show to be part of, even if we're not global... yet."

"She's right. And at least we have The Voice in the UK and Australia too," Carson added.

Cee-Lo looked outside, "the vultures are circling. How about you go out there and talk to the press about the nomination Carson? That way the rest of us can leave without hassle."
