The sound of metals clashing echoing in my ears reminded me of my first clash on the first floor. Of course, every battle does. However this time around, it was not a large lizard, not a large behemoth from the tenth floor, not a large spider that crawls my arachnaphobia into action, no...
My eyes could clearly tell that I was very much annoyed at the very opponent in front of me. And the only being that could do such was, no, not a monster that continuously spam its special move and most definitely not monsters that cast debuffs or status effect. No. The only being that is capable of such is tragically enough..
Another human.
"Aw come on! Do we have to go through this again?"
I rested my sword on a shoulder after twirling it around and looked over at the girl panting for air before me as she was on her knees. Her sword laid sprawled on the ground, almost nearing its breaking point with all those cracks on it.
"That sword really needs repairing... replacement would be better. Are we going to continue?"
"c-Continue!! I would like to continue!!"
I observed the bar circulating above her. The name Fithriyani popped up and the bar was already nearing the yellow zone. With that, I let out an audible sigh.
"Sigh. Going any futher would just trigger the safety warning system in this town... let's take a break. Man, this is a pain."
"Ha. Hah.. ha.. I'm sorry."
"Go easy on her, Izzy! She has a weak body remember!", Hanie shouted towards me though that warning was turned a deaf ear as I continue to gaze at the panting girl before me with eyes full of annoyance.
"Listen here! If you continue like this, you're just gonna be a liability to me, exactly the opposite of what you wanted! Know your limits and be like Qistina! She stayed back at the inn because she knows she will hold everyone back if she fights."
"I'm sorry.."
"Izzy!"
"Tch. Why did I bother myself with you again. Urgh."
"Izz-"
Hanie was about to lash out at me and I was about to return it with a glare myself but a foreign yet familiar voice came crossing in which stopped whatever train of thoughts that I had. Actions that was about to happened, was nothing but a possible future.
"Hey Izzy! I got a quest we could take! Want to do it?"
"Ansar.."
Great. Just the person that I really needed to see when I was on the verge of being very annoyed.
"Hello Izzy! Fith! Hanie!", Aqilah waved from behind Ansar.
And the Lord and Savior of the Annoying Kingdom has graced thou presence herself before this ungodly hour.
Pray tell what could this dynamic duo that serves as a pain in my life do here? Putting aside the genius, I could easliy deduced what this annoyance is going to do. Making my day filled with even more annoying things. That is what she does best after all.
From my perspective.
"Say what are you guys doing here?"
"Sightseeing."
"Very funny, Izzy. So what is it, Hanie?"
"Fith wants Izzy to train her in swordsmanship."
" .. that didn't help much, huh?"
When I saw Hanie shaking her head in denial followed by a very audible sigh from the two, I felt the sudden urge to justify myself.
"First of all, she's a [Swordsman] while I am a [Magic Knight]! There's a clear difference in how we fight!"
