"Man, I'm bored. Why weren't we in charge of attacking the boss on this floor?", I asked nonchalantly while my eyes was never moving from the sight of the orange sky above. Around this hour was when the NPCs would mostly be in their houses ready to hit the sack once the sky turns dark. Though they were mostly a few still out, ready to provide services to us Players...

When I got no response from anyone, I felt somewhat dejected but immediately recovered and continue my walk. The fact that there was no response meant that the person I am currently walking with was deep in thought, very deep in thought.

The sound of something akin to that of a bell chime echoed throughout the town I was in. Immediately I looked back at Ansar who was standing behind me and earned a nod from him before he explained which somewhat surprised me since this was the first response that I got the moment we started this aimless walk.

"It seems the 63th floor has been unlocked now. We should head back to the inn and see what the attack party has to report."

I merely shrugged at those words and continue the pace of my walk with the only difference was that this time I have a destination to go to.

...However little did I know that this walk was the last time that I could simply walk without a large burden weighing everyone of my move...

The sight that was before me as I enter the inn was what one would say, hectic I suppose. While there was a number of people moving about in a rushed manner, holding what appears to be bottles of healing potions. Despite all of this, I would never miss the fact that five individual was laid down on the floor on a wide cotton layer.

While the game helps remove wounds instantly when healed by either potions or spells, the strain on the body inflicted by the wound and not to mention fatigue was something that was dependent on the person itself and how hard the damage was when it comes to the matter of it being healed. From the looks of things, the five before was beaten to a pulp to be looking so dead.. it was horrible..

"What-"

"What happened?", Ansar cuts me off as he walked forward and knelt down as he looked at Azim, one of the five 'patients'. Since when was he able to show actions akin to this? Was he.... this concerned with them? Was this the reason as to why he was deep in thoughts earlier?

"The boss did this. While they did won, it wasn't before the boss beaten them to near death. You should have seen how horrible they looked when they first entered here.", Shahira said with her voice filled with nothing but sadness and worries.

As I looked at the five of them, I failed to notice the slight change in demeanour and the clenched fist of someone close to me...

What Shahira just said perked my attention and I had reached a conclusion. With bosses as powerful capable enough to do such damage to someone like Azim and coupled with others clues that I have picked on, there's only one reason...

"The game is changing.", I concluded as I leaned onto one of the walls on the room I was sharing with Ansar and Hafiz.

"Changing? What makes you say that?", Hafiz asked, confused. While Ansar was looking as if he was in a deep thought, I could summarize that he was catching on to what I meant. But to save the effort..

"Azim out of five of them is way above the recommended level for the boss and yet he came back in such a state. In fact, he is one of the most skilful person AND has a unique class. Sure there was no guarantee of a flawless fight, not against a boss but at the very least he would still be ... in a state much better than that. The only thing that I could think of is that either the boss suddenly had a spike in difficulty or...."
