"Man, it's been a minute since I've came here," I said as we walked into the skating rink.
"Me too! I remember when this used to be what we did every damn weekend. Those were the days," Tori agreed with me.
She's right. When we were younger teens, we would always have hella fun. That was after a really hard time for me, so Tori felt like we needed to spend more time away from our family. I was happy for that since I hated being at home. If it wasn't for Tori, I don't know how I would have got through that hard time. She doesn't even know what really happened to me though. That's the way I intend to keep it. What's done is over with now.
We got our skates then went to sit and put them on. By the time we got out on the skating rink floor, nobody else had showed up.
"Damn I wonder where everyone at..." Bri said as she got in the middle of us. She was lagging behind at first.
"I don't know. But what I do know is that this shit is dead." Tori laughed. There were literally only three other people out on the floor.
"Yeah, but we can make the most out of it. I mean, who likes a crowd anyway?" I asked.
"Introvert."
"That's the best way to be though. Nothing good usually ever comes out of being in a crowded place."
I left those two so I could glide across the floor all by myself. Tori caught up to me though, and she grabbed my hand. We were going so fast that we were able to catch back up to Bri. I tried to grab her hand, but she declined and stayed where she was. I swear she has been acting so weird. It didn't start until after Chelle left the mall. Perhaps she just doesn't feel comfortable around me. It takes time to get used to new people.
Tori and I had our own little fun, skating and goofing off. We were all the way on the other side of the rink when we heard Nichelle. We looked up to see her and Amir attempting to skate over to us. He was being his usual stubborn self though.
"Stick figure could you please stop being so difficult man!"
"If I'm just a stick figure then you should be able to pull me, right?"
She rolled her eyes at him before grabbing his hand and pulling him over to us. I almost laughed when he stumbled into the wall. Clearly he hasn't or doesn't skate much.
"Manly ass. Just 'cause you sound like a man don't mean you have to be aggressive like one."
She bucked at him, so he squared up like he was about to fight her. I must admit that it was somewhat funny, but their bickering was already getting old.
Chelle grabbed our hands and skated away from Amir. We were rolling in a line and dancing to the music until she suddenly stopped. Her doing so caused Tori and I to bump into each other.
"What's wrong with you?" Tori asked as she folded her arms across her chest.
"Why is Bri over there just standing by herself y'all?" Nichelle asked. "She has been acting strange for like a week or so."
"I came into y'alls group like a week or so ago."
Chelle and Tori smiled at each other before breaking out into the shmoney dance. "ABOUT A WEEK AGO, WEEK AGO!"
Here I am trying to be serious with them, but they chose to turn it into a joke. Chelle took to me really well. Yeah her personality is over the top at times, but she is fairly easy to get along with. Bri is the one who doesn't seem to be too fond of me. Her personality is much more chill and mellow though. She is the quiet one of their group. Maybe she doesn't have anything at all against me. I'm probably just trippin'.
