Lozo: where you at JiJi? Im at ma n dad house...
Lozo: nigga im mf tide of textin u w no reply
Lozo: Im texting you again
Back on your phone
I thought you would text back
I don't know how
Im texting you again
On your damn phone
I wish that you would text back
Right damn nowLozo: we really need to talk like asap (no rocky)
"This nigga..." I laughed while looking at that second to last text. He really knows how to lighten the mood.
"What's so funny?"
I looked over as Chelle got back in the car. We stopped at McDonald's to get her something to eat. I wasn't hungry at all. Only reason she went in was because she had to use the restroom.
"Oh nothing." I said as I wiped the smile off my face.
I left McDonald's, on my way to my parent's house. It was four o'clock, meaning I was an hour late meeting Lorenzo.
"Tori has been blowing up my phone non stop. She's mad that I wasn't back to pick her and Bri up."
Victoria is so damn inconsiderate. She knew that Nichelle wasn't leaving the hospital until she knew what was going on. Not to mention, I was the one who drove. If Tori wants to get mad at somebody it should be me. It isn't Chelle's fault that Tori let Rodney take her car.
Her saying Bri's name caused me to roll my eyes. At this point I don't like her and I damn sure don't trust her. I tried to be gullible about what I heard at the hospital, but how can I? All the things the lady was saying pointed to that Bri. She probably knew something was going to happen to Amir. Better yet, I know that bitch fucking knew.
"You remember that lady with the sunglasses at the hospital?" It sounded weird the way I worded that question.
"Yeah." Chelle answered as she munched on her fries. She took out one of her sandwiches and took a bite. "The one you claimed asked about Amir."
Claimed? That's not what I claim I heard, I actually did hear her ask about him loud and clear.
"Right. Then after that she was in the restroom. She was talking to someone named Bri..."
Out the corner of my eye, I could see her head turn my way quickly. "Okay that's a common name Saraji..."
"Yeah but... it has to be the one you know. She was waiting for Amir's update just like we were. That woman said something about they. She said not to take their word for it and to find out herself. If they ask why she's there then say she was just visiting."
"Saraji, honey... clearly you are tired. You're talking crazy."
"No I'm not!" I sighed. "I didn't hear the whole conversation, just parts of it. She said it shouldn't be a problem with Bri checking on him because she's his Co worker and friend. That is not coincidental."
She still looked completely confused. She finished one of her sandwiches then start on the other one.
"She even told her to take pictures of him. We need to go see Amir like ten minutes after visitation starts. That way we can possibly catch her."
She still looked at me crazy so I decided to let it go for now. I'm not sure why she won't believe me. She wants answers as to who tried to kill Amir. We do know that some men jumped him, but she would want to know who told them to do that. I'm trying to hint towards that lady, seeing as she seems suspicious, but Nichelle just isn't convinced. She isn't even trying to consider it.
A few minutes later, we arrived to my parent's house. Nichelle chose to get out with me. I used my keys to unlock the door.
"ZO, I'M HERE!"
I shut and locked the door behind myself. When I didn't get a reply from him, I went to the kitchen. That's his favorite place in the house. Any house actually.
He wasn't in there, but I did hear my baby srart to cry. I followed her voice into the living room, immediately catching a pain in my chest.
There on my parent's sofa, I see Jason sitting there holding my child. A smirk embraced his face as soon as he saw me.
"Well hello there baby girl. Long time no see."
It's only been two or three weeks. It hasn't been that damn long!
I opened my mouth to say something, but no words would come out.
"Who's your friend?" He questioned, looking at Chelle.
She observed my demeanor then folded her arms across her chest.
"Who are you?"
"Oh, I'm Saraji's husband."
"HUSBAND?!" I heard Lorenzo as he came jogging down the stairs. "Lil nigga I know you didn't get married."
"No." I looked at Jason, trying my best to hold back tears. "I told you why I would never marry you. Why are you here?"
He didn't respond. He simply rubbed Domo on her back. He let her have her pacifier so she would stop crying.
I turned back to Zo and hit his arm. "Did you let him in here?!"
"Nah man!" He rubbed his arm. "Laila did. But her ass went up to her room like thirty minutes ago. Must be sleep."
Of course she would do something like that. Nobody would let some strange ass man that they don't even know come into their home this early in the morning. Didn't think it was possible, but I hate her even more now.
"Ready to go back home Saraji?"
"Don't look like she wanna go nowhere with you." Nichelle spoke, annoyance lacing her voice.
Zo looked at Chelle, then at me.
"I'm not asking anymore. I let you come out and have your fun, but now it's time to go back home."
"Aye bitch you must be crazy! So you just gonna talk stupid to my sister in my face? Boy if you don't get yo' ol fake ass, grown up Lil Twist wannabe lookin' ass outta here..."
Jason stood up with Domo still in his arms. I took a few steps closer but stopped. At any moment he could do something crazy.
"Man how would you feel if your girl kept your child away from you? I have a right to know where my child at and where my bitch at."
Zo tried to get at him, but I stopped him. By no means did I do it for Jason, I did it for Domo. I don't want her getting hurt due to his stupidity.
"Don't you ever call my sister a bitch again muthsfucka! Give her the baby back then get the fuck out."
"Why should I? This is my baby just as much as it is hers. If she don't wanna do what I tell her, then why should I do what you tell me?"
Out of nowhere, my brother whipped out a gun and aimed it right at him.
"I tried to be cool but you make it so fuckin' hard. Don't you know I could kill you right now and get away with the shit? All I gotta say is that you were trespassing."
Jason walked towards the door. I started panicking, so I ran over to him.
"SARAJI NO!" Nichelle panicked.
At the same time that I started hitting his back, Lorenzo fired two shots.
