(Lola's POV)
2 weeks after the wonderful night that Frederick and I had spent together, I found myself standing at a shop, looking at dresses for my mom. Only two days till I would officially be called Mrs. Grey and I could wait
"How about this one?" I asked, holding up a beautiful blue dress, with an open back
My mom turned around and eyed the blue dress. Her mouth dropped when I turned it around, as her eyes widened
"What do you think I am? A 20 year old girl?" she asked me, with a horrifying look on her face
I scoffed
"Oh come on mom! You're not 70! You are still young and beautiful! Don't sell yourself short! Who knows, maybe you and one of Frederick uncles will hit it off" I smiled, wrapping my arms around her shoulder, as I wiggled my eyebrows "Help me out here Simone!" I smiled, looking over at the woman who had become, not only my mother's best friend, but the woman who devoted her time to taking care of her
"It's no use My dear. Your mother is more stubborn than you are" she smirked, raising an eyebrow
I rolled my eyes and laughed dryly
"Seriously! You are need to show a little skin Sim! You're still...hot" I winked, eyeing her up and down
She snorted and shook her head
"Ugh...I think not" she shook her head, causing her dark hair to bounce fluidly
"I'm not joking! You two are very b-" before I could finish, I was interrupted by my ringing phone
"We aren't done here!" I mumbled, pointing an accusing finger at them
I turned around and answered my phone
"Hello?" I asked
"Baby! Hey, what are you doing?" I heard Frederick excited voice
"Hey. I told you I was going to the mall. Dress shopping" I informed him for the hundredth time
Before leave, I explained to him that I needed to get dresses for my mom and Simone. It took 2 hours to convince him to let me get out of bed and wear something else, that weren't his bed sheets
"When are you coming home?" He asked, sighing
I giggled, covering my hand with my mouth
"I just left 10 minutes ago!" I smiled, pacing softly in a circle
"Urgh! I just miss you! Come home" he whined, into the phone
"I have to get dresses for the wedding. In case you weren't aware, I'm getting married in two days" I mumbled, looking down at the floor
"Oh really? Who's the lucky guy? I might just have to kill him and keep you all to myself" he responded, sounding alert
"Oh you...just some common Joe, I met on the streets" I smirked
"Common Joe? He must not be too common, if he caught your eye" his voice lowered
"Well he is...but I am completely, utterly, foolishly, and entirely in love with him. He stole my heart and won't give it back" I stopped pacing and waited for him to respond
