Chapter Seven: Well This Is Awkward

I woke up early the next morning to curl my hair and do my makeup. I never wore too much makeup, just eyeliner on the top and mascara with the occasional lip gloss, so it didn't take me long. I wore a dark gray tank top that had "Superstar" written in purple on the bottom right corner with skinny jeans and leather knee-high boots. After grabbing my phone and wallet, per usual, I headed to Ian and Anthony's house. They only lived a few blocks away from me, so it was about a 15 minute walk. I had a key to their house, so I just walked up and unlocked it. I was about to announce my presence, but I heard them muttering in the living room and figured they had already filming and closed the door silently. I tiptoed to the living room, but stopped when I heard my name.

"I don't know, Anthony," I heard Ian sigh in the other room. "I mean, what is she says no? I don't want to ruin our friendship... And everytime I joke about us dating or put my arm around her shoulder, her immediate reaction is to deny it or push me away! That.. that hurts dude." I was hurting Ian?

"Dude," Anthony scoffed, "she can't say yes if you don't ask! Look, I know I kid about you being ugly and stuff on camera, but you're a cool guy, Ian. Jeez, this mushy stuff is embarrasing," I could imagine him pinching the bridge of his nose. "Just ask her, okay?"

"But Violet is.. I don't know. Anthony, she's beautiful, and freaky talented, and she's so funny!" he paused for a moment. "I don't know. I can't really explain it."

Deciding that I'd heard enough, I walked back to the front door, opening and slamming it. "I'm here! Have you started yet?"

Ian and Anthony walked out to meet me, but when Ian hugged me this time, it was different. And I'm not sure if I liked that or not.
