The Next Season

Chapter 4, Some Boys Suck

The next morning at school, I went on a search for Shawn. Walking around the different halls I finally found him in the cafeteria at one of the tables. I pull out the chair and take a seat down next to him. 

"Morning." I say to him. 

"Morning. Whats up?" He asks me. 

"We need to talk. What's going on with your dad's truck?" I ask him. 

"Just stuff. Something keeps popping off and I just need to help him." He says.

"You sure? What kind of stuff?" I question him again.

"Stuff in a truck. I'll talk to you later, bye!" Shawn says and then walks off.

What the fuck is wrong with him? Ugh! The bell rings, and I walk off to class. The first class period was awkward. Sitting next to Shawn, who kept ignoring me, like I didn't exist. Second period was even more awkward sitting next to Asher and Sage. Asher kept smiling at me, while Sage kept trying to touch me. He kept sending me notes of comments about my body and what kind of jerks my brothers were. I ignored them the best I could. When the bell rang, I rushed right out ignoring them and the awkward looks from Shawn. 

I sit down at the lacrosse table with the team and Lilly. Shawn never showed up. I wonder where he is at?

"Kara, Where's Shawn?" Lilly asks. 

"I'm not sure. He was upset with me earlier." I say to her.

"What did you do?" She asks.

"I'm not sure. I asked him about why he doesn't send his dad's truck to a mechanic.Then he stormed off." I say to her.

"Hmm. Must be a guy thing." She says. 

"Guess so." I grab my tuna sandwich and take bites of it into my mouth. 

"Lil, how was your first time?" I ask her.

"It was wonderful! It hurt but he made sure I was okay the whole time." she says.

"That's great I guess." I say to her.

"You will know soon enough girl." Lilly says to me.

"No! You won't have sex till you're forty!" Colton yells at me. Embarrass me much?!

"I'll have sex when I'm married." I say to him. 

"Not even then you won't. Landon and I will make sure of it!" Cotlon said back. 

"Whatever." I mutter under my breathe. 

The bell rings signalling class to start. 

"I'll see you guys later, bye!" I say to the team. 

I walk into class and take my seat in the back. Soon enough my new friend Koda shows up. 

"Hey!" He says. 

"Hi, what's up?" I ask. 

"Waiting for this girl to admit she likes me." He says. 

"What girl?"

"This girl who is my french partner. She has gorgeous eyes." He says back with a chuckle. 

"Thanks, but I have a boyfriend remember?" I say. 

"You do? Then how come I don't ever see him?"

"He's busy. I guess." I suggest. 

"Don't worry, I know."

"Class, Take out a pencil and a piece of paper. You have a quiz today." Our teacher announces. 

The quiz wasn't really a quiz. More like a test for us. Nobody finished till the bell rang, but our teacher didn't really care. I decide to walk with Koda to PE today. After changing into a tank and some shorts, I meet up with him in the gym for role call.
