Kara's POV
"Psht! What is he doing here?" Noah asks. I just stare at him and then ignore his stupid question.
"Don't ignore me!" Noah shouts at me this time.
"What? What's wrong with him being here?" I harshly say back to him.
"One, he's Asher Sanders! Two, he hates us!" Noah says back.
I look at Asher next to me, but he seems like he can care less. Since the fight on Friday, Asher and his brother, Sage, haven't spoken. Well, mostly because Sage calls him a traitor. Yesterday, Asher has been sitting and hanging out with my lacrosse team and I every since. I guess Asher doesn't really care about his brother's social popularity or even his.
"Sorry about him." I whisper to him.
"It's fine, totally understandable." He says back.
"Heads up losers!!"
I look up to see a bunch of buckets pouring out some brown stuff onto all of us at the table. It's gooey, but smells like mustard, ketchup, and ranch. Nasty!
"Hahaha! You guys smell like shit!" Sage's voice interrupts my thought process. I see him standing at the end of our table smirking at us.
"You're going down!" John stands up with his hands curled up in fists.
"I will with they way you freaks smell." Sage laughs out.
"Sage, Why did you do this?!" Asher stands up and walks in front of him.
"You're a traitor so back off. Plus, I told Kara she would pay." Sage says.
"I'm not a traitor, I'm your brother!" Asher shouts at him. Colton and I stand up next to him to intimidate him more.
"I don't like you guys. You guys can suck it! Ever since you guys started it all!" he sneers.
"If you hate it so much, then why not have a challenge. You win, we'll be your servants for the rest of the year. If we win, than you're ours." I state to him. Asher and Colton just stare at me.
"Hmm, Deal!" Sage says, "What's the challenge?"
"Three days. First day, the lacrosse team plays you guys in a football game. The second day we play you in a lacrosse game. Third day, a running contest." I say back at him.
"Deal shorty. Starts Saturday!" Sage says and then his football posse walks off.
"Kara what's wrong with you?!" Colton grabs my arm.
"Stopping this stupid rivalry you guys have!" I say to him.
"Fine, we'll show them how we play!" Noah shouts.
"Guys, lets go get cleaned up." I say to them. We disperse and clean up the food from us.
I walk into my French class and take my usual seat in the back.
"Whoa! What smells like shit!" Dakoda says sitting down.
"Thanks dude." I mutter at him.
"What happened?"
"Sage and the football guys spilled condiments on me and my team." I say to him.
"I see that, you still have some...ranch in your hair." He tells me.
"Great." I say sarcastically.
"So what are you gonna do about it?"
"Gonna have a challenge day with them on Saturday. If we win, they get to be our servants for the rest of the school year." I tell him.
"What if you lose?"
"Then we have to be theirs for the rest of the school year."
"Oh. I'll come cheer you on, and beat them up for ya." Koda laughs.
"Thanks."
"Alright class, copy down what's on the board." Our teachers says.
