Chapter 38, Summer Party Under The Stars

Kara's POV

"Come on! Lets have a drink!" Dakoda says handing me a beer. 

I hold it in my hands for a few moments, and then I pull it up to my lips. The bitter taste of it burns going down my throat. 

"Ugh! Can never get use to the taste." I say mostly to myself.

"I know it sucks. But when your drunk, you barely taste it anymore." Dakoda says leading me to outside in the back yard. 

The backyard is huge with a deck and a pool. There are a few chairs where couples are making out. In the pool are girls and guys having a little too much fun and playing games. Dakoda leads me to the other side of the pool, pulling me to sit under a tree. He pulls me in, setting his right arm over my shoulders. I return the gesture by placing my head on him. 

"You having fun?" I ask him. 

"I am. Enjoying every second with this girl I like." He says with a smile. 

"Who is this girl?" I question him with a small giggle leaving my mouth. 

"Just this amazing girl, I have gotten to know in French class." He says.

"Awe." I say, leaning in to kiss him on the cheek.

Instead he turns his head and lets our lips make contact. Our lips move together in sync till we hear a strong cough near us. We pull away to see Sage standing in front of us with a smirk on his face. 

"Yes?" I ask. 

"Nothing. Just saw you guys getting into it so I decided to make sure that you guys are prepared." With that he tosses down a small object into Koda's lap. Koda lifts it up to reveal it's a condom. His and my face turn bright red the moment  we realize what it is. 

"By the way, everyone can see you guys making out. Even Colton. So be careful, none of us want to be uncle's yet." Sage says before walking off. 

"My brother's are so embarrassing!" I say burying my face into my hands. 

"Haha it's okay. If I had a sister, I would do the same." Koda says with a smile. 

"I don't know if you would make a good brother." I say to him. 

"You don't?" He questions. 

He gives me a quick smile and then starts to tickle me.

"Haha, Okay!...Okay Stop!" I laugh trying to move away from him. 

"Now why would I do that! I love your laugh!" Koda says and continues on tickling me.

"Stop! please!! Hahah!" I try one more time. 

Soon he finishes and pulls me into a kiss. 

"I don't like you." I tell him with a small smile. 

"Because I tickled you?" 

"Yup, that's why." I say back. I cuddle against him, pulling closer to him. 

"Kara, look up at the sky." Koda says pulling his arm over me again. 

I look up into the sky to the the stars twinkling above us. The moon is whole and behind a small cloud making the sky so beautiful to stare at. 

"It's beautiful." I whisper to him. 

"Not as beautiful as you." Dakoda says. 

"You're so cheesy!" I laugh at him. 

"Hey cheesy is good sometimes. Especially when I get to make this angel in front of me blush." Koda states back. 

"Stop it! You're doing it again!" I blush back at him. 

"No I won't. I like making you blush," Koda says with a smile, then continues, "And I like doing this."

Dakoda leans down and captures his lips into mine. His soft lips moving slowly over mine. 

"Koda, we might need the condom." I say looking at him with a smile on my face.
