Gaara x Neko Reader (Naruto)

I walk up the stairs to Gaara's office while making sure my ears and tail don't show by wrapping my tail under my jacket and pulling up my hoodie.

I'm a neko and only a few people know, but I have a crush on Gaara and rather him not find out.

I knock on the big doors and a monotone voice rings out,"Enter."

I silently walk in and smile when Gaara looks up. He smiles a little back and my heart flutters.

"I came to check on you, Kazekage-Sama. You're always working too hard." I remind him.

"(Y/N), I told you, call me Gaara. And it's work that needs to be done." He goes back to work and I notice how tense he is.

I walk up behind him and massage his shoulders lightly. At first he tenses even more before relaxing and leaning his head back.

He looks up at me in curiosity of why I always wear my hood. He has asked many times but I always avoid the subject.

Gaara reaches up to push my hood back but I lean up so he can't reach and go for the door.

"I'll see you later, Gaara. Don't overwork yourself."

I leave and head home, ready to relax and forget about what happened.

I get home and walk upstairs to my bathroom and take a nice warm bath to relax myself.

After my bath I get out a put a robe on and step out into my room but instantly freeze in my spot.

Gaara is there, sitting at the end of my bed and looking around my room. I quickly curl my tail and flatten my ears.

"G-Gaara! What are you doing h-here?"

He turns to look at me and stands to walk over to me,"What do you think of me (Y/N)?"

I blush as my eyes widened. Whaaaa? "W-What do you mean?"

"Do you love me?" He's now standing right in front of me and he's saying these things so calmly.

"I-I..." My voice seemed to fail me and the next thing I knew I was completely frozen in shock.

Gaara had leaned in and place his lips on mine. He's kissing me?! I kissed back slowly but what I didn't know was that Gaara had opened his eyes and looked my ears that I had let loose in the heat of the moment.

Gaara leaned back and reached out to slightly rub my ears. His eyes were in awe but I flattened them again, fearing the worst.

Until he hugged me close.

"Why would you hide this from me, (Y/N)? To me you're perfect and this doesn't change anything. They are apart of you so I love them. I love you." He seemed to blush slightly and look away.

I giggled as my blush deepened and let my ears and tail loose.

"I love you too, Gaara."

"You know those ears look adorable."

"Shut up and kiss me."
